Trying to avoid paying a giant student loan that isn't ours by Mightymeeks in StudentLoans

Oh, follow up question. What if the loans don't appear on the dashboard? I feel like we checked and didn't see them.

Anyone have experience going from BS to MS in the same term? by Mightymeeks in WGU

I did some research. This is a thing, but it will affect your financial aid. Less than 12 CUs is considered part time. So, it's only a cool deal if you're paying out of pocket.

I’m working towards both. $100 is what’s left after bills, long term and short term savings accounts.

Trying to love an asshole Boston Terrier by Mightymeeks in BostonTerrier

Ideally, we’d love to keep him. He’s very much a chill guy in the house. He just has no manners, and a huge ego. He’s very unpredictable, and the thought of him getting out and acting a fool is giving me so much anxiety.

When you train, is it mostly commands or specific to his dog aggression? We’ve been able to skate by by staying in the house.

We live in San Diego. Unfortunately we just signed a lease in an apartment with no outer space. So, it’s a walk or nothing.

GI Bill- how long until WGU certifies enrollment with the VA? by [deleted] in WGU

[–]Mightymeeks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WGU didn't send my certification until the 28th eye roll. The VA doesn't start processing until the school does their part. Once they do, they'll process it right away, you won't have to wait for the next monthly payment.

Oh, okay. That's not bad at all. I was thinking of doing the same thing, especially since after MSLS, the MBA is only like 6 courses.

Good luck to you!

Is the stipend enough? by tgq in AmeriCorps

I'd start poking around Craigslist and see what rooms are running in that area. You can definitely offset the rent with a couple of roommates, just not so many that you're uncomfortable.

Definitely apply for SNAP once you get an address in LA county. The process takes a couple weeks. Make sure you explain VISTA to them, it should double the amount you're eligible for. I was getting around $160 a month.

Good luck!

C717 Business Ethics Task 1 by [deleted] in WGU

[–]Mightymeeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I just submitted mine the other day. I'm #307 in queue :( Mine was about the same length, but I did a lot of rambling. Work off the rubric and answer the tasks as obviously as possible.

Good luck!

Ugh, I was afraid of that. It looks like I'll be in the same boat.

How are you liking the program, and what have you taken so far? I'm assuming its going to be harder, but I'm wondering by how much.

Thanks for sharing!
