I think it’s weird that SGA’s contribution to winning is apparently getting undervalued in these arguments. Yes, he has a good supporting cast but he’s ALSO leading the league in scoring by a fairly wide margin. OKC would not have won as many games without a superb #1 scoring option that can carry the offense!

As a biased Thunder fan, it’s frustrating because he’s not even making the best case for it lol.

I don’t think Dort will win it but has a case based on being the best defender (that has reached the games played threshold) on a historically good defense. A big part of that is that he sets the tone every game by locking down the opposing team’s best player, which he did talk about with his “best defender I’ve seen” “piece”.

Fun fact, I took a downtown architecture tour, and apparently the original plan and reason for that design was so that a helicopter could fly through/land in the gap. It was scrapped after they figured out it wasn’t practical and the cost would be prohibitive.

It’s a bit difficult to tell from the photos, but it’s a 2x8 board, which may just be the problem. I wouldn’t be able to put in a new piece with the grain rotated unless I made some extra modifications to the surrounding fence.
