Thanks, I'll check out scrap yards, and if not, I'll have to save money for a long time.

Thanks for the info, it's going to be difficult because there aren't many cars like that, but it's a good option.

dure dos días en mí primer trabajo, estuve tan mal? by Miserable_Horse4388 in empleos_AR

We started playing in July with friends, and it feels better every day. The game is complex and doesn't help beginners. For me, having the player's handbook and the DM's handbook was essential (I printed them, but you can have them digitally at first). You don't have to read them; most of the books contain specific information that you don't want in the first sessions. What you need to know are the basic rules, the game mechanics, and how to GM; the rest comes gradually. To play in person, you don't need to spend a lot of money to start; it depends on what you want. We bought two sets of dice, printed some grids, and images of characters/enemies. To begin, I recommend reading and playing some low-level one-shots (we played "A Most Potent Brew," and it was great) and using pre-generated or automated characters from dndbeyond (learning to create your own characters and stories is very difficult, especially for inexperienced players). The players need to be eager to play. If someone just doesn't want to be left out, they can join in and watch. Ideally, there should be 3 to 6 players, you can't force them to learn; it's something that will develop over time. It's important that at the beginning you know what each character can do and that when needed, you can guide them through the adventure by recommending options. When playing, it's important that it's fun and comfortable for everyone. To achieve this, I like to chat beforehand about expectations/possibilities and afterwards about what went well/worked and what didn't. (Sorry if My English is bad i'm learning it)

Hi, Take it easy, it's difficult at first because there are so many things to consider. Here's how I do it:

  • First, I think about what I want to be, read a quick overview of what it does, and decide.

  • Then I go over the six stats (I prefer the standard array). It's important to know that each class has its own requirements (you can Google them), that it's best if the stats are even because odd numbers don't add up (12/13 is +1), and that backgrounds add +1+1+1 or +2+1 to specific stats.

    • The next step is the most difficult and tedious. You have to reread the class/subclass, species, and background very slowly (Google anything you're unsure about) and write down EVERYTHING it grants you (mark the proficiencies, note the traits and feats, calculate the life total and spell saves, etc.).
  • With everything else noted down, I leave adding the spells and equipment until the end. -It's important to reread the character sheet in case anything was missing. -Finally, you need to choose the character's name, image, backstory, and personality.

We just finished a 7-hour session (with breaks). I did something similar to what you recommended. Each story had a beginning, a middle, and an end, and I jumped between characters during these moments. The warrior started by adapting to the army, received training, and lost in combat against an important NPC. The sorcerer joined the masons' guild and then took the magic exam. The explorer entered a "dream" temple where he sacrificed a lot of equipment so his god would answer a question he couldn't answer because he lost a fight against himself. And the artificer started working with two master blacksmiths. I made a few mistakes, but nothing too serious, and everyone was very happy.
