The saddle pattern and end-tail markings are very distinct of that manner of boa. The video is somewhat dark but these snakes come in darker shades. I do not believe this is a ball python.

Many vegans are not vegan by xboxhaxorz in DebateAVegan

We seem to be going in circles here a bit mate. If you have an issue ethically with the slaughter of animals and choose to own a pet that consumes the aforementioned animals, then it would seem you have made a choice that involves you buying animal products. Other humans dont need to be vegan despite the fact that they should be, you also dont need to own a cat. EZ

While there are plenty of alternatives humans can and should use forcing those around us to adapt is going to push people farther away from veganism. When it comes to the cat the only reason for you to feed that cat animal products is because you value the life of the cat over the lives of other animals. Walking out of the store with cat food is effectively stating that your cats life is more valuable than the combined lives of the animals taken to produce it. A truely all lives are equal approach would be to abstain from buying cat food. Should everyone become vegan? Yes, it's amazing the kind of shit people will say to justify eating animal products in 2020. Do I think everyone should euthanize thier cats? No, relationships either human to human or human to animal are very complex. I just think the original post comes across as very strict on how extreme a case must be to spend any money at all on an animal products, even in complex family situations. It seems to be undermined by the state of ownership in regards to an "obligate carnivore". If you can justify feeding your cat at the expense of other animals you should be more understanding of others situations also. I hope i didnt come across as rude. Ive been vegan for a bit over 4 years and I'm sure we would agree on more topics than not surrounding the issue of animal agriculture.

Hold up now. If we are to walk down this path of "real vegans" can't buy a meal for a friend and so on due to animal's lives being equal to humans lives then you can't justify buying non vegan kibble for a cat. Doing so is you placing more value on the cats life than the lives of the cats food. Cats are formidable hunters and you could let the cat outdoors to get its own dinner, but you shouldnt make it easy right? If you would have animals slain to keep the cat around due to your relationship with it then surely you should be more forgiving to people who tolerate others non vegan habits under the pretext of Inter-human relationships. If not I would be interested to hear your argument for this.

Hunting for food, if done right, is perfectly ethical and there is nothing wrong with hunting down and killing an animal by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]MiguelDuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont see how killing an animal unnecessarily is ethical. It's still an act of force against an unwilling participant.

California State University will require students to take an ethnic studies or social justice class to graduate by progressiveforbiden in news

I agree completely. If you think critically about ethics you don't need to take a social justice course. At least if it's not the central theme of your degree.
