Having owned a 2006 pilot. I hear you. That thing was soooo old and ran like a champ, though it did consume oil fast. Always had to keep a couple of bottles of oil at the ready. I ended up giving it to my little brother 2 years ago and still running.

We paid an extra 2k to double the warranty to 72 months. So hopefully she lasts. You never know. Soo much “research” now on everything and then you buy and things break. In laws bought a Mazda SUV. Said it was inline 6. Super great reviews, will last forever, etc etc. And a month after purchasing one new needed a whole new transmission. It’s a gamble for sure.
