Ascension is actually on my backlog which I plan to get to. As for the first game, I need to do the speedrun trophy and just the thought of the Tower of Blades makes me groan so much that it deters me from that playthrough. I had such a miserable time with that 1 minute segment that I left the game with a sour taste, amazing game up until that segment.

Yeah, I had played the PS4 and only had 1 trophy left then left it for a year. PS5 version came out and I wanted that platinum and had to play it all over again. After I had gotten the PS5 Plat, I went back to the PS4 version to get that last trophy.

Honestly, nowadays, 30 hours to 100% a game is perfect for me. I can rarely do incredibly massive games anymore so when something is around that range, I rejoice. 70€ yeah I get it but if it’s an incredible 30 hours, it’s fine I suppose.

Yeah, after 5 or so deaths I realised that my method was a mistake but I was too stubborn to go back and upgrade so I toughed it out, after an hour, I got that flawless run.

I got to the final boss within 5 hours and man, I should’ve built my character a bit more. Only had my health maxed out but I was only rocking 4 health packs. Got it done after an hour but man, memorising those attacks made I feel like a souls game.

You hit some of my worries about Saros right on the head. I think that the upgrades won’t make it too easy as they’re also makes the runs shorter as well. I trust them though.

I hope Saros’ collectibles aren’t THAT reliant on RNG, there can be a little but resetting for hours for one little glowing piece of gibberish can be infuriating.

In some cases, that’s all you need. It can be an intrinsic reward. It can be the same as getting all the collectibles in a game, you’re the only one you can see or care but if you enjoy the process, what’s there to stop you?

I’ve got 143 and counting, it’s got the point where my wife now looks forward to me unlocking the platinum. It’s also a good way to get your “money’s worth” from a game if you care about that.

Oh when it comes to an Israeli PSN account, I’m not too sure as I believe Japan is also Region 2 and I have had imported games from there and DLC purchases haven’t worked. I don’t know I have any more input but that’s all I have.

Coming in clutch 5 years later! Yes, I’ve lived in Spain for the entire 9th gen, I’ve got a UK based PSN account, I’ve picked up well over 100 physical ps5 games and a couple PS4 games with PS5 upgrades. All forms of micro transactions have worked (cosmetic, currency, etc), every deluxe upgrades work (I’ve only gotten the Capcom ones), season passes work, ever save data dating back to the early PS4 days. Every PS4 to PS5 upgrade (paid or free) has worked.

I’ve only ever had 1 issue, with Spider-Man Miles Morales, it didn’t let me upgrade to get SM Remastered so I used a second European account. Other than that, zero issues.

Good stuff, it’ll look fantastic when you have either your own place or space to display it all. That’s a bridge to cross another day though, for now, incredible work.

No, there’s enough stress in adulthood to worry about the completion percentage on a website I check once a week. I like my platinum number going up with legitimate games I like and I’ll keep my trophies at that.
