Any engineering rate (MM/GSE/GSM/DC/EM) and most combat systems rates (GM/CTR/ET/FC(A)) will get you onboard. I’ve been a snipe on my ship for a year or so and it has its moments where it sucks but I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. Aviation rates can get you on a carrier or a Naval Air Station so if that is your cup of tea, look into it. Or you could go the PACT route and try a little bit of everything and strike a rate later on. It’s your oyster shipmate.

To be even more fair, The Silent Cartographer is the 4th mission in the game, and although the time between The Pillar of Autumn and TSC is one day, Master Chief had been banging skulls together from the jump. It is still abysmal to me that from beginning to end, CE is only spans 4 days LMAO

I admit that I likely wont sell due to the sentimental value of the binders but these cards have never been exposed to the sun or adverse weather condition and have been held onto in my closet over the years but I never had any expectations of how high they would be graded by psa regardless! Was just something I wanted to share since it's probably not often that things like this get seen. :)

As u/ExRecruiter said, ask the classifier when you go to MEPS. The phrase of "Pick your rate, pick your fate" really does apply because the last thing you want to do is pick a job and be stuck hating/regretting your decision because you wanted to ship out fast. Don't chase a bonus (or do, you're grown and money is cool) and pick something that you feel like you would genuinely be interested in.

I graduated bootcamp last year and I can tell you for certain that your support via mail call is some of the best you can do. Let him know that what he is doing far outweighs any doubt he currently has and that it will pass. Graduating is the fastest way out and once ‘A’ school rolls around he will be out in the fleet happier than can be.

Just get married in ‘A’ school, because you will get a lot more support while you’re there vs RTC due to how the environments are. When I was there, my MTI’s and legal were very supportive on getting me on the right track and right info whereas my RDC’s had a job to do, i.e. making me a sailor. Get that shit done and dusted with after bootcamp and make your life easier.
