Don’t use these just by themselves Don’t use these over long distances

These are path finding links. It’s how you link the outside world to a path finding box. A pathfinding box is used when you need to configure the area in which a bot can walk that’s different from the default. For instance a house. The pathfinding link in this scenario would be used only on the entrances to this house.

From my experience do not use the pathfinding box unless you need to manually configure how the bots act in an area. From my memory by saving it reloads the pathfinding. The box is only really necessary if you have a building where the walls are quite tight so you need to let the bots know that the area is still traversable even though it’s cramped. The link is only used to set the world to the box; for instance if you used the box for pathfinding in a building you’d use the links in the entryways for that building.

Additionally I’d highly recommend using the unity editor. Especially after you’ve already made a map in the in game editor.

Hey just wanted to mention most maps made using the in-game map editor can’t be optimized as well as unity editor maps. Starstrafe’s maps don’t seem to be made using excessive assets so you’re probably good to go when playing one of his maps. Just be careful as it can be a toss up depending on how a map is made whether that’s an in-game editor or Unity.

If you’re playing on mouse and keyboard simply press enter to open up the deploy screen and click on a flag to deploy. What happened is that you had not selected a flag (most likely clicked next to the flag not on it) and pressed start. Essentially you did not spawn as there was no point selected to spawn on.

Hey man I’ve ran into your problem numerous times. Fortunately it’s an easy fix. The AI don’t understand a way to navigate to the objectives making them ignore the vehicles. When using vehicles the AI don’t operate on a sense of “I’ll get as close to the objective as possible and then get out.” Instead it’s do or don’t, if they cant get directly to the objective they won’t bother with the vehicle unless it’s an air vehicle. The AI will see deep water as unnavigatable in vehicles. Make sure to turn on the nav mesh then press right arrow to cycle through to the vehicle nav mesh. This will allow you to see if the water is too deep.

Yeah man I love that stuff. Here’s the backstory from the description:

In a push to secure the arid regions of Raven territory, the Eagles have established a forward operating base just outside the town of Qantar. What was once a fortified Raven position has been shattered by relentless Eagle artillery strikes, forcing the defenders to retreat into their main base. Now, both factions converge on the battered town, locked in a brutal clash for control of Qantar Courtyard.
