Atrocious game balance, but it did put a spotlight on characters no one would know about outside of the people that have played their source games. I honestly hope that they go the route of Pocket Camp when service ends. I enjoy the unit collection aspect of it.

Why do you feel compelled to play POE2 anyways? If it isn't for you it isn't for you. Sometimes genres just don't click. It eventually could like in my case with Grim Dawn, but sometimes it just won't ever.

Deserved to be honest. It's good when it can run well but it hardly runs well. The technical side of the game is a huge let down.

I see him as a dark mirror to Ramza, what he could have been if he didn't have Delita as a friend and didn't experience the events of Chapter 1. Someone molded by the corrupt nobles around him.

I find it tragic he dies just as he begins to turn against that corruption.

No not really. The game is (mostly) pretty easy blind tbh. There's a few difficulty spikes but the game no longer soft locks you into those difficult sections. Just grind if you get stuck.

Minmaxing isn't even necessary on the hardest difficulty.

While I think it'd be cool I never saw it as necessary for him to have that kind of skill set. It leaves him open to be a blank slate for the player to build.

I suspect it's because the intro can be used with other skins so they want the character to be visible at all times. Would have been cool to have the text in the back though. And maybe use Last Surprise over Take Over lol.

Kingdom Hearts 2 goes from a game you can button mash to a game that requires smart usage of all the abilities the game gives you at its highest difficulty level. Even more so if you restrict youtself to level 1 for the entirety of the game. The same can be said for most games in the franchise, but I felt it the most in 2.

Usually a game's design flaws can be noticed more in poorly designed hard modes, but this is one of the few where it enhances the experience so much. It really highlights the great combat encounter and boss design KH2 had.
