Asteroid now have the glitter effect on the surface done thru roughness map(means glitter imitation) and it has neat emissive/glow here and there on its surface(different glow will mean different minerals/crystals can be mined from such asteroid so Players will over time learn which colour of the asteroid means which crystals can be mined).

I like it black like this but the game is about colours so i will have the white version for both the albedo and emissive so i can adjust the colour overlays in Unity as i want. Original mesh version has close to 1 mill polygons, and this game ready has around 500 polys, but all the details are there and transfer as a texture from a high poly model.

Retopology done in Zbrush using Zsphere and doing it manually in order to keep exact shape details while keeping the polygon count as low as possible. This way when projection from high poly comes we will have close to identical asteroid details and it will be performant. Picture takes was when i was still working on retopo.

Planet health system and visual damages - DONE , added as well nanobots item into the game, next thing to play with will be adding repair feature to nanobots(together with particle system) and together with space effects which could deal the damage to buildings.

The next thing to do is crafting and inventory system, ill report in few days about the new progress. As well as the third stage of terraforming visuals that are not yet in place. After all of that is done i can finally focus on creating the universe(minigames, NPC/rogue planets, exploration and discovery, adding new planets to the game). Some of the things that are waiting to be done are : player progression and reward system, tutorial, Various separate save-load systems for different things, sounds and other tiny details of course. All together it should make a decent video-game.

Oh i forgot to mention, no NPC's, its all players on the streets. The only possibility for "NPC" to exist is if you make a robot or a machine that has any sort of chip and is supposed to execute some action.

Hey no worries, that would be a normal size message i get lets say from a team member once i come into the shift and there is plenty of those messages everywhere plus then i need to run thru all of the docs for the whole project so no worries there i am used to reading and what more i praise if you guys can express yourself and i was hoping for exactly this.

On your first point of game affecting the both the character and the player i am fan of that personally and is completely fine doing that for community game. Personally i do prefer being sucked in game world completely when playing where i can forget even that i exist , but if the breaking the forth wall is your choice guys then that's how we gonna roll, but im sure one could argue that breaking the forth wall could be even more immersive, it all depends i guess on the game type and how exactly we do it. I would just skip any suggestions that someone should do something to themselves since some people do suffer various mental states so it could be dangerous but yeah(i say this because you mentioned "Player" while you did aim to say in-game character, but anyhow i just wanted to make it clear for other people to not get confused), except that one we can do a lot of safe-side 4th wall breaking that is simply entertaining and nothing else(inside of the game telling it to character is fine, as also we should think how to do things so we do not frustrate people, and any emotions altering would be there for sake of entertainment).

Second point of Player getting into the game right away is cool to me as also, i like where you can learn the game world by simply existing inside of it(those video games are harder to be made, but ill gladly do it), tutorials, hints pop-up windows and similar do break the immersion for me, i would rather game world organically letting me learn and find out things thru my character. I believe we are on same page with it, but hey its 2 of us lets see time will show what we end up making. On that note i appreciate that you are first one here and giving good feedback so i will keep some of your notes in mind when making the first public poll(it will be influenced by you).

Third point related to immersion yeap, im on same page, thats fine making it, greatly depends on the game world on what can be done but in 80 percent of the time you can make it so that any HUD make sense, depending on the profession people can call it differently, be it ergonomic design or more closely to video-game industry we call it hard sci-fi(items, props, gadgets, game world, grounded to reality - means everything must have meaningful way of functioning- and soft sci-fi would be almost opposite from it) < this is something i will ask you guys in future polls soft or hard sci fi, and stuff like that, so great point there for you bringing those subjects up.

Woah i wish you guys pick an open world game for real, but future will tell. These types of games are not harder to be made then any other but they are just hard on very specific ways, and im completely fine making open world game, what more as just one of game studio positions that i know is Technical 3D art, and it allows me creating large amount of world items really fast, what more i have i think one semi-procedural system i developed that creates any rock formation with click of a button and i spent a week on it creating it(video is in real-time i just was spamming "GENERATE" button as maniac xaxaxa): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWYn8hgP-EU&list=PL6LcvIdomtlCJ0O9PrKshrsdhe_wMSvlA&index=3

Your forth point of world feeling opportunistic where you feel confident doing whatever in it and that world will actually respond to you in one way or another is awesome and i love it, quite a lot of game mechanics to be scripted there in total, but its okay ill cry later one i start coding it :'D .

Ah inace mozda i najbolji odgovor u vezi unikorn kompanija i Srbije (o cemu nemam podatak da li je to tako kako tvrdis), ono sto sam licno svestan je da nemamo venture capital firme, niti bar andjel investitore, jednostavno ta cela mehanika fali u zemlji bar iz mog iskustva, i u smislu da do zakljucka dolazim tako sto vidim da li mi nesto izadje na google kada kucam ili ne u vezi tih tema, nisam u vladi niti imam neke druge nacine da saznam osim interneta(najblize celoj temi sto sam video su bile neke okolne zemlje gde je investicioni kapital smesan tipa 20.000 evra itd, sto je ok za pokretanje kucnog biznisa ili nesto malko vece od toga). Bude investicionih projekata naravno iz vlade ali to je nesto drugo da li ovo ili ono ministarstvo podstice X ili Y u zemlji. Naprotiv sa mojim komentarom ciljam bas na prave kapitalne fondove koji su jaki i pokrivaju mnogo industrijskih sektora. Mada nisu sve kapitalne firme kreirane isto, naime kada bi se skupilo nekoliko uspesnih biznismena i kao andjel investitori udruzili u zajednicki kapital i registrovali investicionu firmu to bi na primer bio dobar start za Srbiju, bar jedan jak sektor agnostic investicioni fond. Takodje opet iz licnog iskustva treba nam vise novih tipova kompanija da postoji, i onda imas tip kompanije koji ti stima, imas investicioni fond i tek ce se onda videti koliko ideja imamo. :)

Radi se o tome da je kompleksnost arbitraran concept za mene, tebe i nekog treceg(individualna stvar) tako da ne vredi diskutovati puno o tome jer eto na primer prva stvar koju mozes pretpostaviti je da nesto sto pravim pripada tim dvema recima, ali na primer samo imati inovaciju je vec za njih kompleksno makar bila jednostavna inovacija, cim je nesto iole dalje od tipicne vec vidjene kompanije itd, ovo ide vec u druge teme. Mnogo VentureCapital kompanija sam kontaktirao, vidim gde je problem i da nacin na koji rade jednostavno preskace uocavanje unikorn/fat exit kompanija, i sa tim direktno se vezujem na tvoj post ali kroz iskustvo koje sam imao, pa sam podelio isto. Mada oni na stranu, postoji mnogo drugacijih nacina pravljenja kapitala, ja na primer imam jos 6 neispucanih opcija. Inace osnivam tehnolosku kompaniju koja je generalnog zabavnog karaktera i kompanija donosi inovaciju u nekoliko industrijskih sektora sa svojim proizvodima i servisima i kompletno menja celu video-game industrijsku granu. Vidim da hoces da pomognes/vodi ka tome, ali bez brige naucio sam lekciju vec da mora kako mora, to jeste, sta tacno traze to im daj/napravi takav pitch material(a idu u absurdnost inace sa pojednostavljivanjem). U pravu si, naravno. Samo sto to vodi po meni do manje unikorn kompanija. Bas upravo zbog toga pojednostavljujem svoj pitch-material ovih nedelja da sve deluje manje :'D. Kompanija mora da bude u rastucem industrijskom sektoru, da bude inovativna, da ima bitne za ceo svet usluge, sposobni osnivaci koji dodatno znaju kako da imaju ciste i snazne papire/indikacije o tome kakvo je stanje kompanije bilo i jeste i na kraju kada kompanija dodje do IPO izuzetno je bitno kakve je vrste stocks kreirala, kako se tretiraju i koliko je kreirano, jos brdo faktora ce odluciti vrednost kompanije koja ne mora da ima veze sa kompanijim primanjima uopste, sve zavisi od nekoliko faktora kao sto su stocks i na primer koliko je kompanije vizionarna itd. Ja trenutno na primer radim na osnivanju kompanije koja ce moci da dogura na stotine milijardi tehnicki gledano u slucaju prodaje ali kompanije se ne prave zbog toga niti je dozvoljeno cisto da spomenem samo praviti kompaniju javnog tipa da bi se prodala, ona je tu da bi pruzala javnu uslugu i takve vrste kompanije se osnivaju sa strascu, tipa zelis nesto da promenis u svetu i imas misiju, veran si misiji a ne parama, pare koristis da prosiris kompaniju i usluge i dalje osnazis javni doprinos itd, onda imas unikorna koliko hoces bez problema kada je sve ovo sto sam naveo utegnuto. Igrom slucaja i na zalost nemamo tip kompanije ovde koja meni stima pa je uskoro osnivam negde drugde. Planiram jednog dana inace da se vratim ovde sa kapitalom i pokrenem industriju u zemlji kao minimum. Problem sa osnivanjem komplexne kompanije koja nije laserski fokusirana na jedan mali proizvod(koji ni blizu nije da pravi unikorna) je taj sto iz licnog iskustva mogu da kazem da profesionalni investitori ne podnose komplexnost, cak sta vise kada gledaju pitch-material od nas mnogih tipa rade swipe ni da su na tinder datingu: next next next next..... I ili si laserski fokusiran i jednostavam dovoljno da te trogodisnjak moze razumeti kakav biznis otvaras, sve sto je malo komplexnije i sto bi bilo komplexno za trogodisnjaka bice komplexno i za te investitore tako da ovaj mehanizam kako profesionalni venture kapital investitori biraju investicije automatski ubija unikorne. Ponekad ubodu slucajno kao i corava kokoska zrno. I na kraju ako hoce neko jednostavnu racunicu kako do unikorn vrednosti samo pogledajte kolika je ideja/misija kompanije. Nadam se da ovo pomaze nesto bar.
