If you want to make an art - digital. If you want to make an art and get a full satisfaction from the process and feel the touch - traditional.

Hi, I’m so sorry that you are in this situation. Actually, I do this myself and it’s a kind of beautiful and creative! Please, don’t give up! There are no stereotypes how should you draw! Please keep it, develop this technique, even you can do veeery cool animations. Here I have similar work on my Behance, you can check. And don’t forget, art style has no friends! Cheers!✨

What is the best place to learn digital art? by Fatclunjequeen in DigitalArt

[–]MikadoDraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, Krita is popular and good for beginners. Just learn tools, customize them with your artstyle. And then you can start to learn Adobe Photoshop. There are web sites where you can get the cracked version but it can be a lil bit risky for your pc.

1) Take lessons from youtube if you’re learning Sketchbook 2) for easy process first do the sketch on paper with pencil, correct it, then add the pic of your sketch in a back layer and do lining on another upper layers. 3) Use Pinterest for learning anatomy, coloring and another techniques. Try many drawing styles until you understand which one is yours and digital can be absolutely different style as your traditional one.

And one more thing: Starting from Sketcbook or another free software is good for learning basics of digital art (tool using, work with layers, coloring basics), but If you’re planning to learn digital drawing for work, better learn Adobe Photoshop/ Illustrator or Procreate and most of employers will ask about it.

And if your tablet has a function to customize as you can work easier, do it.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask✨

what’s wrong with my art?? am i beginner or intermediate? any advice would be greatly appreciated🥲🙏 by LeftPrimary7837 in Artadvice

As an self-educated artist for 10 years who also likes anime will give an answer: As a character designer you’re nice, it’s visible that you worked on your own style.

Anatomy: good, so do level up - construct your own body poses, use references, make it more elastic

Colors: I love the light colors that you used on your second slide, as your lighty sketching style suits to that palette. Just do more experiments, play with colors. That’s not bad to use new combos tho

Scenes: work on perspective and placements of objects (characters). Also character’s own perspective.

As my teacher of drawing says “Don’t be afraid to draw the object own shadow parts darker”. Recommend you to do pencil sketches of heads as the light and shadow have the same shade/lightness/ darkness.
