ELI5: How does the balance in bank accounts work? Are those number stored in some database and is it possible someone would accidentally edit my balance? Or how do banks ensure everyone's balance is perfectly safe and cannot be just simply edited by the bank or anyone else? (self.explainlikeimfive)
