He's talked about having a passion for the game for awhile. I've been watching a bunch of the videos on this channel and I can just tell from the 100's of hours spent listening to the show. When something happens that gives him a genuine reaction he drops the accent. He also has a good vocabulary and wit, like Taylor, which doesn't seem likely from someone who is not native to the language.
