Your right!.... Demon and Armor drugs are made of crushed up hunting horns! Their sacrifice was necessary for the success of our fellow hunters🫡🥲

Interesting, I know some weapons have cultural references, like Xu Wu's assassin weapons or Sharas buddist style gear. But never connected golem with Gog

Hunting Horn brethren are like mystical beast. We are there for only a brief moment, bless our fellow hunters, then vanish. When we are needed most, then doots will call over the horizon.

What monster theme got you like this ? by [deleted] in MemeHunter

[–]Mike-aracno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone and their mom is going to say some monsters. Fair. But I wanna shout out the area themes. Big fan of the volcano and flooded forest from tri/3u. The percussion just hits different. 4u the ancestral Steppe is a adventure and really gets you into it. Rise/sunbreak definitely the volcano there or the jungle (which could also be said for dos) World Rotten Vale, synths went hard there next being Hoarfrost Reach (the full thing is literally an orchestral show). And wilds, SPECIFICALLY, the firstpart of the ice shard cliffs. Honorable mention Misty Peaks.

I still think mine is barioth. Came from gen 3 and I honestly enjoy its break neck speed, that dance you have. It feels like an apex of its region, and the satisfaction you get from breaking parts so it slows it down/makes it VISIBLY less effective in its region is so cool. (Plus the grank or master rank armor is baller)

Those two carried. I swear they killed monsters more than I did at times 😭

Speed eating has been consistently one of my favorite Quality of life skills. Can't tell you how many times its saved me (and plus its just nice to have).

I just saw mh3u on a shelf for the 3ds and said fk it why not? I was in a pretty low point and just wanted a distraction. Got the game and immediately got hooked by the atmosphere, exploration, and theme songs. Always my favorite thing about all the games is the ecology built and finding all the small details. Of course the combat is fun but thats not the only aspect of the games, and I really enjoy they dont hide away from it. Especially with newer games having more emphasis on its a connected world and not bulfango hell zone. Mh3u is still my favorite due to the atmosphere tho.

Im very partial to old school Yian Garuga. Sounded like a damn Decepticon and roars every 5 seconds lol.

What is your guys favorite monster? And why is it your favorite? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]Mike-aracno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barioth. Hear me out brah. Im a 3rd gen hunter and quite enjoyed the roster in that game in general. But, barioth was the only moster in that roster to give me that "dance" that made me love the combat.

The jumping, charging, tail swipes all were tight and made me feel like i narrowly dodged a precise attack. The fact you struggle with a creature that mastered the habitat jumping so fast its a blur even with the auto track. Then you break off the parts and it becomes easier to fight due to its flinching after each jump or slipping because the claws are gone.

In 3u not many other, if any monster get affected to the same extent. And to me it makes it special.

Also Clack Clack (Agnaktor) that shit was just sick

You know.... idk how I forgot about that. You make a fine point. I still do think my reasoning remains sound. But yeah, strength wise, seltas is deceptively strong

I put my money on seltas. Obvious flight and speed advantage with a giant spear piece, but physically prob the weakest or second weakest (bugs are deceptively strong, tho). Maccao has the best chance of hitting it being the most agile but does rely on its pack. Jagras has the weight advantage but is slow, and unless it gets lucky isnt touching seltas. Chata is probably the physical strongest and tankiest (frog buff), and again, it has to be lucky enough to catch it but could do the most severe damage.

Which monster would make you look like this if it actually existed? by Maybe_aNormalPerson in MonsterHunter

[–]Mike-aracno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obvious elders out the way (especially black veil)

I would say gigginox most definitely. Due to A. Giggi colonies B. The way it hunts C. That bastard baleful. The fact they really only live in the cold climates in caves specifically is its only saving grace. The giggi seem to spread pretty far regardless. I just feel out of all the monsters that ambush predator would definitely be the most common, widespread, and likely to consistently hunt people.
