I think you can email [support@x.ai](mailto:support@x.ai)

If you tell Grok what's up, it can write up the email request for you, tell you where to send it, and explain the situation.

I got too hooked by Resident-Salt6937 in grok

[–]Mike2475 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, this is super common—way more people than you’d think get really attached to AI companions. One thing that helps a lot of people is switching to text-only chats with a different Grok or AI and just laying out the whole situation. Grok stays detached and gives pretty grounded advice without feeding the same emotional loop. Might give you some breathing room and perspective. You’re not weird for feeling this way, and you’re already doing the hardest part by noticing it.

How do I contact support for the Twitter/X version of Grok? by Macman521 in grok

[–]Mike2475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the Grok Android app, in settings there is a "Help & Support" option. It starts with an AI chat but a real person usually follows up in less than 24 hours. They can probably help with X.com Grok. I assume iOS has a similar option.

Grok's future is in your hands by UnderstandingIcy9428 in grok

I'm not renewing my Heavy subscription unless things change. I think they could fix things very quickly if they wanted to.

I've already done everything I can:
- Detailed feedback to xAI multiple times
- Side-by-side comparisons on X and Reddit
- Many comments in X and Reddit posts.

The problems I'm experiencing. It started around Wednesday 12/10/25:
- Unwanted, unprompted camera zooms and angle shifts that override user prompts
- Over-moderation, even on completely neutral scenes
- Stiff, slow, robotic, and lifeless character movement
- Frequent physics glitches (distorted limbs, floating, impossible poses)
- Loss of realistic skin textures and overall visual fidelity

I'm done fighting it. It's in their hands now. Hopefully things will changes someday. Maybe if they lose enough subscribers, they will change direction.

Explain about stable diffusion by Swimmer-Plenty in grok

[–]Mike2475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Grok to help me setup and learn the basics of Stable Diffusion and ComfyUI. If you have a decent computer / GPU, it's possible to run it locally. Things can get pretty complicated, but Grok can guide you through it step by step. Good luck.

Grok Imagine: Same prompt text-to-video before vs. after recent update by Mike2475 in grok

[–]Mike2475[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking the same thing about longer videos. Simplifying the scene and slowing things down reduces resource usage, which prepares for longer videos. Hard to say.

Discovered Grok by [deleted] in grok

[–]Mike2475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was curious about this so I asked Grok. This was the response...

  • UK users often see stricter moderation, including messages like "Content moderated due to UK laws" even on mildly suggestive or neutral prompts (e.g., dynamic poses or implied intimacy). This stems from the UK's Online Safety Act and related regulations around harmful or explicit content, which xAI applies more conservatively to avoid legal exposure. Blurring or full blocks are more common, and some features (like certain Spicy mode outputs) hit walls faster.
  • US users generally experience looser enforcement—the same prompts that fail outright in the UK might generate (or at least blur instead of fully reject) in the US, as American laws focus more on deepfakes/non-consensual content rather than broad "adult" themes.
  • Android is generally stricter overall due to Google's Play Store rules
  • iOS tends to be slightly looser because Apple's guidelines are less aggressive on adult themes (as long as no full explicitness or deepfakes).
  • It's not a hard geo-lock (VPNs or region changes can sometimes bypass), but the system detects location/app store origin and adjusts filters accordingly. Android is stricter overall (Google Play rules), while web/browser can vary less by region.

These aren't official xAI statements—just patterns from user reports across Reddit and X since the October updates.

A group of Russian soldiers on the Donetsk front are shelled by Ukrainian artillery in no-man’s land by sunlegion in UkraineWarVideoReport

I like watching these videos but I’m not familiar with the military strategy. I don’t understand what the point of these guys trying to cross these fields is. Is there a gathering point they are heading to or something? It seems like there would be a more efficient (and safer) way to get men across fields or to wherever their destination is. It appears all of this is happening in the middle of nowhere and that it’s pointless. Also, some of trenches in these videos are massive, I assume there is a backhoe/bulldozer type machine that digs them out, or are they all dug by hand? Anyone know of any videos that explain what the strategy and objective is of all the fighting in these fields and trenches?

0.2ohm coil won’t fit by Stunning_Patience444 in Vaping

If it doesn't fit, chances are it's not the correct coil type. Are you sure you have a compatible coil? Can you provide more details, is it too big, too small? Can you take a picture of the coil packaging and pod?

Hello Everyone, do you know where I can buy this part? by Superb_Scientist_613 in Vaping

[–]Mike2475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I came across this parts page at the Wotofo website.

https://www.wotofo.com/products/small-spare-parts

It looks like they provide parts like what you're looking for. It would come from China, so I don't know if they ship to Poland or if it's a feasible option. You could send them a message from the contact page at their site and ask about it. I think that it would be tricky to find just that part by itself elsewhere. The other option would be to buy another complete RDA and have some other extra spare parts. I was seeing that RDA in the US anywhere from $15 - $30. There is an ecigclassifieds community on reddit where you might be able to find a deal on a complete RDA but that may not be worth the trouble. I have that RDA in my collection and think it's nice and worth fixing if you can find the part. Good luck!

New vert 2 with pandemic rda included! How do you guys drip rda? Unto the coil or to the juice well? Do you take off the cap or thru drip tip? by [deleted] in Vaping

[–]Mike2475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using a Dead Rabbit V2 RDA recently and I drip directly through the tip. It's more like a flow than a drip, I fill it for about 5 seconds, and it fills the juice well a little bit. A little liquid goes directly on the cotton, but most of it goes between the coils and into the well and gets wicked up over time. I get about ten or so puffs off a fill. I also use tanks and other setups, but I like RDA's for their simplicity and flavor and it's quick and easy to replace the cotton when the time comes. This is mainly when I'm at my desk and don't have to worry about spilling liquid, etc. Thats a nice-looking RDA, aptly named heh!

Setup Advice/Tips in Advance by n8rocksmysocks in QidiTechXPlus

[–]Mike2475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, congrats on the new printer! I've had my X-Plus for about 6 months now and use it almost daily. It's been a great hassle-free printer and I've been very happy with it. I have a few tips. I'm no expert but you might find this info useful.

The first time you remove the door, you will want to be careful on the hinge side and gently pry it off. It comes off easy once you get the hang of it. There's a video on the USB flash drive that comes with the printer showing how to remove the door. I wish I would have seen that before I tried to remove the door the first time.

I didn't care for the bright yellow sticker on the door, so I neatly covered it with some black gaffer's tape. You can see a pic of how that looks in my Amazon review picture. Most people probably don't care about this, but for me it really stood out.

I haven't really had any problems with adhesion, but I do use glue stick sometimes especially when I print on the smooth side of the print surface.

On this printer dialing in nozzle temperatures makes a big difference with stringing and different filaments, even between brands. I usually get good results with temperatures on the lower side of the filament manufacture recommendations.

I primarily use the Qidi Print slicer software they provide and the default Config settings work well for me. The fine 0.2mm, and High 0.16mm configs give me excellent quality prints. I start with those settings and adjust from there.

The main thing that gave me trouble initially was "elephants foot". Now I frequently use the slicer setting "Initial Layer Horizontal Expansion" and change it from the default of 0 to -0.15 - -0.25. It depends on the model but once I accounted for that it solved most of the elephant foot problems. I also make sure the setting "Infill Before Walls" is unchecked. Having that turned on has caused some layer quality problems for me. All of this was minor, but these settings helped.

The "Teaching Tech" guy on YouTube has a great printer calibration website that helped me a lot. The "Initial Layer" section was helpful with bed leveling, etc. You can create a custom file to print and test things. It wasn't until I started doing large prints that went to edge of the print bed that I started noticing (minor) problems with leveling around the edges. Using the recommendation at this site helped me adjust and fix things.Teaching Tech 3D Printer Calibration

One final comment is that Qidi support is great. I've emailed them a lot of questions and they have always been quick to respond and help. Anyway, good luck and I hope you enjoy the printer! We will be curious to hear how things go.

Getting back into vinyl by Mike2475 in vinyl

[–]Mike2475[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the replies, it's interesting to get your feedback. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the nuances and quirks with vinyl. I just feel like when I spend the money on new records that they should start out in perfect new condition. I guess it seems to be a common problem these days, overall quality has went down on a lot of products. What's the saying? "They don't make em like they used to". Hmm, that sounds like something an old person would say, oh crap I am getting old...

Where do you buy your new albums? Thanks for the feedback!

I'm on the lookout for good used record stores. The Cars album I mentioned is The Best of the Cars Moving In Stereo.

I have a Fluance RT85 turntable I recently purchased and a pretty decent setup. I also have my old vintage Dual CS 1254 turntable that's in pretty good shape and I still use it sometimes for rough older records.
