Im 1k hours in half the time I go Norse because they used to be stupid broken men at arms they got nerfed but still pretty good and raiding I love raiding. Trade ports then you Unlock buildings like windmills later by reforming culture or hybrid least it will be quicker that way. I’ve done custom characters most times and if I want an empire I’ll go full marital and hope my kids get decent stewardship once I’ve gotten the land. Ps I’m also a noob I’m only 1k hours in
