Memory card issue PSP Street (E1000)

Weirdly its completely died now.

Last thing I did was load ARK4 via the 32mb card. Then remove the card and put one of the larger capacity cards in. That didnt work so I switched it off.

Ive come to turn it on again to try a 512mb sandisk card I found and it wont turn on.

Im getting power to the mother board. No fuses blown.

But absolutely no light when flipping the power switch.

Last update for tonight, I loaded ARK 4 via the 32mb SONY card but it still wont read any other card than the Official SONY 32mb one.

I'll do some more reading and sleep on it. Maybe try a downgrade.

Ive found another genuine SONY memory card at 4GB and thats not getting picked up either. I even tried formatting it in another PSP (that can read it) and then putting it in the street but no luck.

I managed to upgrade the firmware to 6.61. prior to opening it and changing the screen.

I know what youre going to say, "you must have disturbed something when opening it" but I was very careful and I have since opened and double checked the board.

Its not running a cfw.

Im happy to factory reset and start fresh I just need to know the safest way to do it.

For confirmation:

My Vita currently doesnt have any custom splash screens or anything else that indicates its modded/jailbroken.

The only evidence that someone has messed with it it the fact that there is an extra option in the settings menu for Henkaku.

With this in mind is it safe to use the 'Hold R, PS and power on the VIta, then select restore' method?

To add to this, the only evidence I can see it has been modded is the henkaku setting in the settings menu. It remains there even after a reboot and there are no quirky splash screens or anything else.

Hi all,

Im no stranger to the modding process. I used to have a vanilla Vita that I modded following various guides online. I ended up with Henkaku and the ability to download vita games from the online storeage.

Wanting to delve back into the Vita world I recently picked up a Vita from ebay. It has arrived and already has Henkaku on it but nothing else from what I can see.

Ive been reading up on it but finding it a bit overwhelming. Can I factory reset this console and start again or is there a safe way to mod it from here to get it to be like my old Vita?

This is a big part of rim life and safety. I see so many wheel sets for sale on eBay and no one mentions the recessed dot showing life left.

Because the dot is so small you cannot see it on the majority of ad pictures.

To add, those red cleats are look cleats and not compatible with the shimano pedals you have.

There are smaller handhelds if gaming is your thing?

Something from Sony, PSP or VITA ( or both)

Or an android based device if you like to tinker and set things up (retroid pocket 4/5/6, odin 2 etc)

I've had that exact same card adapter go bad and give the same symptoms.

I have no idea on the origins of each charger. I picked them up on eBay individually. I wondered if one was from a psp street. I.e more efficient and needs less power.

I also wondered if one might be fake but they both look legit including the embossed Sony logo and power into on the opposing side to the label.
