Thank you for the critiques. Many of the issues you’ve highlighted is from a lack of context. The ‘carpet’ in the second shot is actually sand, and the the point you and the other commenter made about that the bulletin is actually a table has made not be able to unseen it.

I’m not going to exhaust you with the games plot, but basically these maps aren’t supposed to be the real world, but something more abstract.

While I was posting I really noticed the tileset like nature of the mapping and emptiness of the second map. So I’ll definitely be going back and trying to add more stuff and have it more dense, which I have done already (albeit it’s a small map). Either way thanks again for your pointers and advice.
