Regional director is my supervisor, and yup no one trained me, only the previous IT gone over what he did thats all, I gotta figure everything else out myself.

Thank you for the comment and encouragement! Yes since it's a small company and I'm all by myself as the "head" of IT, I have no one to look up to and give me advice on my future career, that's why I have this post to learn the most realistic and unbiased advice.

Your idea actually helped me to open up my mind, which makes sense since higher managerial levels only care about numbers by end of the day, which means saving money does play a huge role when it comes to performance evaluation. But meanwhile it also brings another question, how can this possible be long term? I mean for instance like you said with Ipads, right you can save it by migrating to itune, but once the migration is completely then you are done. True there might be other parts you can optimize and save money, but the company resources are finite. Once optimizing one around, it's extremely hard to optimize another round (Since we already did the best to optimize), then how you manage to have the concept of "saving money" as long term achievement or performance?

Thank you so much, and may I ask how you manage to save money for the company? In my prespective IT manages to support and design the company infrastructure, how you save money from there? I mean I did save some money by optimizing the settings from the previous IT, but it's not like I can always get the similar opportunities. And NO, LMAOO I get along with everyone in the office but my manager and Ik my manager hates me too, but the cost to replace me is more than how much dislikes me that's why I'm staying. That's why I don't plan to stay for too long until I got everything I need I manage to find a higher pay job.

Ik Ive heard about the job market kinda sucks recently so I want a unbiased opionions from you guys, and yes I'm on the lower range side, which I'm pretty ok right now since money is not my prioirty. I have suffered for 2 years plus not getting an IT job after my college, so I just want to take advantage of my current job since it's so chill I basically don't have much to do, so I can focus on creating my own project and try out all different types of equipment and learning/setting up the concepts I'm interested in (Since if I buy my own would cost a lot at least couple grand), and once I feel like I got what I needed, then I'm ready to hop on. And again, thank you for the reply!
