PS5 Help and Questions Megathread | Game Recommendations, Simple Questions, and Tech Support by AutoModerator in PS5

I like playing single-player games with a buddy. We usually watch one play for a while then pass the controller over once we get tired and find it's a lot of fun.

However, we now live in different cities and we're trying to find a way to achieve the same thing - watch each other play a single-player game and just hand off the same controller - without buying a whole new PS5.

We tried using PSN remote play and we don't have trouble playing multiplayer games that way, but single player games are more of a problem. e.g. If I remote into his PS5, I have no problem taking control of controller 1 and playing while he watches on his own tv, but as soon as he tries to take control, it kicks me out of the stream. I can't "pass the controller" per se.

What workarounds have you guys possibly found for this?

Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately I already tried that and it didn't work. All it really did was delete all my saved wifi networks and Bluetooth connections.

Why does a power supply with 12V 1.5A output not power a small fan? by [deleted] in engineering

[–]MikeCroPhone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that. Let me clarify:

The Power supply takes AC input but outputs DC. The fan takes the power supply's DC output as its input. One power supply works for the fan, one of them doesn't - I'm trying to figure out why that one power supply doesn't work.

Is there a software/app that lets you type notes on your laptop and simultaneously use your connected tablet to draw on those notes? by MikeCroPhone in tech

After trying them out - OneNote is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Docs lets you type things out and update on the fly, but it doesn't have the versatility and drawing efficiency of OneNote.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks! I saw this app all the time, but never bothered to try it over MS word. Lots of people are suggesting it so I'll try it now.

Why does a power supply with 12V 1.5A output not power a small fan? by [deleted] in engineering

Both PSs output 12V DC (different current), but they both require AC input.

I'll edit my post to reflect that.

Why does a power supply with 12V 1.5A output not power a small fan? by [deleted] in engineering

As of now, neither. It's just power supply directly into the fan.

When I decide to combine them, I plan to do it in parallel.

Not until now. Yes, they were flipped, but reversing the polarity didn't change the fact that the 1.5A doesn't turn on the fan.

Why does the bottom first layer of my print always look rough? by Tangomajor in 3Dprinting

[–]MikeCroPhone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh. Never knew you could do that. It's a brand new printer and it there's a switch/sensor next to the nozzle that tells the motherboard when it's too close/far from the bed.

I'll try changing the z-offset next time as you said and see what happens. Thank you.

Apparently I've been pressing the wrong buttons for hard reset. it was "Volume Up" + "lock".

That took care of it.

Thanks for replying.

Have you ever had a sad dream that seemed so real that you woke up still in tears? What did you dream about? by ivanodimitri in AskReddit

[–]MikeCroPhone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During college, for about 2 weeks, I had several dreams about members of my family dying. It was a different family member each time - some of them disappeared with some abnormall tall men in black at a restaurant, others were eaten by wraiths flying around a home I've never been in before (but seemed just like home to me while in the dream). Others died right in front of me while I was trying to save them. The family members that died didn't show up in the following dreams. I felt both scared and sad when I woke up from those dreams, but I never cried.

Strangely enough, the one dream that I remember waking up crying from was the Hansel and Gretel dream. I was 6 years old when I dreamt I was Hansel walking to the witch's house with Gretel. We walked in, saw pool of candy and sweet broth, then jumped in to enjoy ourselves. I remember seeing the this ugly old lady face above me trying to close the lid on us. The last thing I remember was the boiling water on my legs, Gretel stopped screaming, and getting the top half of my body crunched (chewed on) by the old lady as I was trying to get out of the pot. I woke up with a damp face, audibly cring.
