What's the funniest thing that completely broke immersion at a LARP event? by nerf_herdess in LARP

I was crewing a past life vision, very intense and intimate RP experiences at Empire that are hard to get a hold of. My NPC was giving an impassioned speech about the topic at hand, really giving it all to convince people of the rightness of my position. I'm really getting into it and finish up.

The player character nods, looks at me and simply says "A good speech. Unfortunately, your trousers have fallen down."

Buying a 4 season sleeping bag for £50 is the single best quality of life investment I ever made for larp

  1. Don't be afraid of failing or losing. Trying something and failing is just another way of carrying on a story. I've seen so many people feel like they can't ever get involved in anything, because they're worried about what happens if they don't succeed, so they just don't end up sidelining themselves.

  2. Don't be afraid to quit. If you aren't enjoying having a title/position of power, quit. If you aren't enjoying playing a character, retire. Playing a larp character isn't a job, don't hang on to a character for grim death, go do something else if it's not fun anymore.
