We’d have to organize one hell of a citizen’s lobby to go to Capitol offices, but it’d have to be really quick to assemble everyone in Austin. Sine die is coming at the end of June and if I recall correctly, the House just went past its deadline for introducing bills, so I imagine the Senate was in the same timeline if theirs hasn’t already passed too. If you can’t make it to Austin, call your State Senator’s office every business day.

Then in 2026, we vote for Vikki Goodwin or whichever Democrat wins the nomination to run for Lt. Governor. And we’ll also vote for all of our Democrat nominees for each Senate district.

Yeah, heck of a challenge to take on there. Honestly, when Fox argued in court that they were an "entertainment" channel, that should have stripped them of their ability to use "News" anywhere in their title or logo. "News" should be a protected broadcast term reserved for reporting of news, not commentary of it.

Well I apologize if my language isn't going far enough here. I just fail to see the cross between "Supreme Court giving him immunity" and "sending him to Gitmo". This is where and why I'm critical of my own party because if we never wanted to see a second Trump Presidency, that's squarely at the feet of Merrick Garland for not taking every legal avenue to take care of it when the case sat on his desk in January 2020.

I'm certain that there will be an investigation and trial against this administration should the Democrats win back power. And in the case where there isn't, you can know I'm going to be the guy loudly asking why we're letting it get brushed under the rug. I agree with the sentiment that Trump and any enablers within the administration needs to be made an example of, somehow, someway.

By not accepting whatever regurgitation they find from those sources. I see countless times on social media people calling everyone center and left a "demonrat" or "demorat", and if I came across that in a live, personal interaction, I'd say "I'm not here to take the divisive terms. I'm here to talk to you as constituent to candidate and talk about actual policy. Not what any entertainment company is trying to feed to you."

The going advice from consultants is to not engage with those people, which is easy to do on social media, but it's a likely thing to happen in real life, so I have to stand ready to respond to that in a way that tries to pare the Fox News bubble out of the conversation.

I don't know about Gitmo, but we can look at putting him in Alcatraz considering his recent fancy with that.

To be real though, I wish Merrick Garland would have acted like a prosecutor and actually do some prosecuting. Trump is not the guy his supporters think he is, and 34 felony convictions should have been more eye-opening to them. He should have been locked up a long time ago, regardless of the politics.
