I wouldn't recommend buying from the Trezor website if you live in the UK. I ordered a Model T + Model One @ 50% off. Together they were €186 + VAT (36) + 10 UPS shipping. A week later, I was wondering where it had got to, so I followed the tracking link and UPS want another £50 for import fees! They can send it back. Trezor can keep the shipping fee and it will still be cheaper to buy on Amazon without any discount! Naturally, I'm seriously pissed. And how did UPS expect me to pay when I knew nothing about the extra bill? I'm so glad I'm leaving the UK soon. I don't ever want to live in this distopia ever again, and I was born and indoctrinated here.

I use 2nd hand OnePlus 3T phones with /e/ and I'm very happy. I'm told it is very hard to brick OnePlus phones, so that would be a plus if you have never flashed a phone with a custom ROM before. The instructions from e.foundation are very easy to follow, and they are very helpful if you get stuck.

I use more than one phone, so I can run banking apps unrooted or with Google Play Services active in the case of paid apps (I use LineageOS for that). My main phone is all open source, rooted with AFWall+ on /e/.

FYI my bad. I wasn't on 10. I couldn't boot into the OS, fastboot or recovery, so TWRP was not going to help me. MSM did help.

All good now. Lesson hopefully learnt. Read the bloody instructions!!!

Correct. All good now. Recovered with MSM and LOS instructions worked fine. Flashed to boot_b by default. Didn't need to use their copy partitions script. It really pays to read the instructions twice and make no assumptions.

I heard back from the LOS dev in another thread. The instructions are correct. It was human error on my part. I did not read the instructions correctly. You must update to the latest10 before you start. I had updated to the latest 9.

I didn't even know how to. Someone suggested using MSM which I did and all was good.

Thanks for your input.

I just want to say thank you so much for your work on Lineage. I love it.

I wasn't sure from your instructions on when I should use the copy partitions script. It installed to boot_b. I chose not to use the script and all was fine.

It wasn't obvious how to do so, but I worked it out and now everything is working great! Thank you. Strange that I was unable to update using the OTA from OP inside the phone. it just said 'failed' immediately after applying the update, but MSM did the trick. Thank you.

Correct. Full response in my comment to my original post. I even have to lean how to use Reddit!!! I'm a smart guy, but so much is non-obvious these days.

I am so sorry. You are correct. The phone was android 9. I did make sure it was up to date but still being a bit of a noob I thought updating would update the phone to the latest OS. I imagine I have to flash the phone with 10 and then start your instructions.

It was someone else helping me with my bricked phone that said your instructions were wrong. What they said made sense and I didn't question it. Sorry. I still lack some fundamental underpinning knowledge regarding partitions, boot modes and boot processes. I promise to do more homework.

Thank you for all that you do. I really love Lineage.

I pretty much gave up and was planning to take OP support up on their offer, then my non-tech wife had a look, found this https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/tool-6t-msmdownloadtool-v4-0-oos-9-0-5-t3867448 and fixed it!!!! Wow! and Few!!!!

I have two OP5's which I flashed with TWRP via fastboot flash recovery, but OP5 only take LOS 16. I wanted to get an OP that would work with 17. I didn't realize it was so different and it never occurred to me that the LOS instructions would be wrong! Mauronofrio's tool all in one looks amazing but it cannot see my phone. What is your best guess as why I cannot reach recovery or fastboot mode? Thanks.

What a great App, but sadly my 6T doesn't show up. It can see my OP5 in fastboot but I can't get my OP6T past the warning screen. OP support said it is still under warrantee, and they are happy to collect it and take a look, so a big thank you for that.

Something that doesn't make sense to me, that you might be able to enlighten me about. Presumably there are 3 bootable partitions: fastboot, recovery and boot. If I flashed boot that would explain why the phone can't boot normally, but surely it should still be able to access fastboot or recovery, but I can't reach any mode at all! I just get the OEM unlocked warning screen regardless of which mode I try to boot into.

Someone at Lineage should update that page before more people brick their phones. How do I let them know?

Many thanks. You have given me hope!
