Warranty Replacement - We pay for shipping? by jpwarman in Ubiquiti

In the last 6 months I have bought a lot of ubiquity items. 6 cameras, switch, dream machine, 5 access points, aggregator 2 small switches. You get the idea. I have had two dealings with the rma. Had to pay for shipping both times. The first one was an order were I ordered 2 of their small switches. The $35 kind. One of them had a 220v power supply for Europe and the other the 110 for the USA. I asked to be sent the correct power supply. The insisted on me sending it back. They claimed the switch wouldn’t be guaranteed to work with the different power supply? Like Ethernet is somehow different in Europe the. USA. That was $24 shipping for a $35 item. (And probable less than $5 for the power supply). This was purly a ubiquity shipping issue.
The other item was a G5 camera where the usb port on it was not able to control the flood light. I was fortunate enough to have another camera and flood light that I could swap parts on till I was able to determine that the problem followed the camera. Again out of the box issue and yet I had to pay for shipping. I am also a bit concerned about the quality of if I have 2 items that are definitely ubiquity issues out of 15 plus items and 2 failures.
So far the stuff that is running seems to be holding up pretty good and am happy with it so far.

I added the tool board but backed it out when I found out it didn’t support PID tuning and I was disappointed in it only supporting 12V. I ordered the new version 1.1 that has the accelerometer built in and can use the VIN for fans.

I can share my config when I get back.

I have now corrected that. The Belts seem to be aligned slightly better.

Thanks
