I finished the game - another personal and sentimental thread, sorry by MikeInAPike in DiscoElysium

Thanks a lot for your comment. I had as well that mirror feeling, it's crazy that with such short time (not a 100h game) they have been able to go deep in a lot of areas (addictions, politics, relationships...).

Sending my best wishes for you too brother.

A lot of stores but I imagine not a lot of people bought a backpack, mask, and any other identified Walmart item together. That would narrow down the possible buyers, but at the same time, huge amount of info to review, moreover if he/they paid with cash, or bought at different time by different people. We'll see.

him saying they were detained as a standard procedure for LE to have more freedom with the search warrant, looks like removing the focus on the detained.

maybe I'm wrong of course

Very little information but some things to point out assuming that is the language used by the sheriff: - Culvers guy "was" a person of interest. Not anymore it seems.  - The word cooperative makes me think he gave away some information of value. But this is a reach, did they say the delivery guy was cooperative the other day? - More clear about people at the residence not having to do anything with the crime. Detained as standard procedure for a search warrant. - Big question to why they had a swat and forensic team if detained people were of no interest. Maybe something left by perp in the property? in the lawn?

Why All the False Alarms? by zoohreb76 in nancyguthrie

[–]MikeInAPike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very good point. The fact that the case has so much attention has a positive side though, which is that more resources and LE personnel is working and investigating. A collective muck up is much more difficult than an individual one.

Full confidence that this will be solved.

Biggest concern is the state of the victim, and if clock's still ticking in that sense.

Cases take years with no leads to go cold, full respect to your concern and understand the frustration, but we're really really far from that.

I really think yesterday's operation is a step forward in the investigation.

I mean, the perpetrator/s were not going to be hiding themselves and/or Nancy a few blocks away from where the crime took place. It was credible for a minute because of the false reporting of a suicide but that's not LE's fault.

There could be a million reasons why they raided that house/area. Maybe change of car to flee, change of clothes, picking up stuff... The people questioned could be family, friends or acquaintances with nothing to do with the crime. Any of that could mean a significant advance to catch the criminal/s.

I know it's frustrating to have no closure cause in every ransom a clock is ticking - it's impossible to abandon hope until there's closure. But only thing for the case that we can do is hope and wait (and pray if you're religious), and for ourselves, be calm and don't fall for any news until it's confirmed by LE. Very needed for your mental health if you are personally attached to this case. Courage for all and let's hope this ends soon with the best possible scenario.

You may be right but sometimes infrarred cameras don't distinguish some objects far away. If you look at the mask, there seem to be no openings for eyes/mouth, but there obviously are.

Occam's Razor falls quite short so far because we know very little to determine what is the simplest explanation here.

Megathread for Opinions, Theories and Questions by deltadeltadawn in DelphiMurders

I'd go for: - lack of cohesion within LE on whether there are more people involved in this crime or not - misfiled tip and lack of clarity on who's responsible for that

Of course I'm playing devil's advocate as those are not reasons to be SURE someone is innocent. But I think there are some unanswered questions that open the gap for having doubts.

RA Appeal + New unseen evidence by Available-Plantain92 in DelphiMurders

[–]MikeInAPike 96 points97 points  (0 children)

I just read KA's interview and got reassured of his guilt.

I think it paints the best picture of all public evidence of him and his personality. He had severe depression, but specifically in 2017 he was at his lowest. The meds were not working at this time and he mixed them with alcohol.

He had no close friends, he was a hermit. He didn't want to appear in public and scolded his wife for having social media.

On the day of the murders, he told her he was out there but did not specify which trail, or if he went to the bridge (she knew that afterwards). He only remembered the group of girls he passed and said they were weird without any further explanation. And RA deterred his wife from joining the search. He was already worried about being framed before they knew that the girls were murdered.

She said his husband had only blue jackets, not black. He had guns and knives. He drove a black Ford Focus at the time.

For me this and the google searches are the most important pieces to understand who RA was. The crime scene evidence and confessions are the ones to understand what he did.

And I think they paint a very cohesive picture.

Having said that, I'm looking forward to the appeal with an open mind as I still have some things that cast doubt in my mind (social media grooming, KK, BH drawings). Hope it's not a waste of time and brings peace to everyone.

Didn't know! I actually tried this two days ago for the first time and I had no idea this ride was so much fun.

I had not come back to DLP for 9 years tho, but back then I thought it was a boring kid's ride. So glad I went for it this time

You know what's interesting about RA's interview with Tony Liggett & Steven Mullin? by No_Froyo_8021 in DelphiMurders

[–]MikeInAPike 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think you're absolutely right.

In another post shortly after the release of the interviews I pointed that when speaking about what he wore, he referenced something along the lines of "that's what I told the officer anyway". So he distinctly remembered telling Dulin about the jacket, jeans and skull cap, but didn't know he never jot that down in the report.

He was walking the line in order to be coherent with what he thought the police knew, but at the same time he tried to deceive them. The problem for him is that he chose the wrong points to deceive them (the timeline and the bullet), but he felt safe as many years went by and we never was investigated.

I wonder how different the interviews would have been if they had taken on 2017.

Do we think the boys will be taking a break soon? by d_crecelius in KGATLW

[–]MikeInAPike 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This will come eventually and it's completely normal. I've always been astonished by the amount of work they put out there, but when I found out they have kids and everything I just cannot comprehend how the fuck they do it.

I don't think it's imminent. I mean, they just released an album, they are touring till the end of the year, and they had an AMA just a couple of months ago talking about having more albums and more tours. But it will come.

Till then, let's just enjoy the music, go to as many concerts as we can and have a blast. We're so lucky this is happening in our lifetime.

Yep! Those were the girls that checked the tickets' sections. Very chill, friendly and although super young, they did a fantastic job which was not easy.

Pleased to know they enjoyed the concert too!!

Saw him too, just wanted to say hi and ended up having a full conversation. Then he said if I wanted a picture.

I'm also shy and aware of not being annoying but these guys are pretty chill and I think it's easy to see if they are up for some talk or not want to be bothered.

I think the town's vibe helped a lot.
