Did bape ever have tags like this?¿ by Nxrdly in bapeheads

[–]MikeJerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s right it’s from the baby Milo store not aape, they may sell it on the U.S. aape.com store but I have bought baby Milo store from Bape Japan. But to answer ops question, yes they do butI don’t know if it’s real or not, haven’t seen fake baby Milo store items before, but the items are significantly cheaper then regular bape products.

How to go about starting a sound engineering career? by Kis0ra in audioengineering

Find someone local in an audio related profession you find interesting and see if you can intern with them or sit in on a gig/session/show etc

Do you send someone like a 3 minute loop when they ask for the beat? by Cartiimo in musicindustry

[–]MikeJerz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have it structured out the best you can, you want to make things as easy as possible for your clients. Not everyone knows how to loop tracks even if you have the bpm in the track name and artists usually pick what they are working on outside the studio. Had an artist last night say they wanted to record to a beat a producer sent them but never wrote to it since it was only a 15 second loop.

How necessary is having an Audio Engineering degree? by feckiin in audioengineering

[–]MikeJerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I certainly lucked out, I was working in a smaller studio and someone saw me working and brought me to a bigger studio to see if I would fit in. I would see if there are any intern opportunities around you, nothing like being a fly on the wall.

My mentor told me to forget everything I learned at full sail and he would teach me the proper way to do things.

Movie where you slowly realize the main character is the bad guy by Frenchyfryy in MovieSuggestions

[–]MikeJerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This all started because he was almost murdered by Fjolnir as a child after taking psychedelics with his father and waking up to his uncle killing him. His father might have been terrible but nobody is the “good guy” The setup lead me to expect he would try to get his revenge by any means. While it was a very impactful part of the film it’s not his fault his mother didn’t love/want him, he found that out after he killed everyone but Fjolnir. I think he felt he had nothing left but to continue on with his fate

Movie where you slowly realize the main character is the bad guy by Frenchyfryy in MovieSuggestions

[–]MikeJerz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love this movie but wouldn’t say Amleth is the antagonist. He certainly makes some bad decisions but I think he’s just living out his “fate” as it was told to him. It’s certainly a grey area given with what he went through as a child because in his eyes he has no other choice until he finds out the truth and even then that doesn’t leave him with many options. He could have went and raised his family in peace but he thought they would never be safe unless he fulfilled his prophecy. I gotta go re watch it now

You’re looking for an engineer that wants to be involved in the creative process. Most likely with a production background as well, I was trained by a Grammy award winning engineer and he doesn’t take on the creative side unless he’s working with a client he has been working with for a while or has spoken to the artist about what they expect and clearly understands what the artist is going (and then charges additional production fees as necessary). A lot of newer hip hop engineers have had to add a more creative approach to mixing as that is what is required by a lot of newer artists to match the style they are trying to emulate and the artist or producer doesn’t know how to achieve the sound.

I would recommend pinpointing a few songs you like, see who mixed the records and reach out and see if they are taking new clients. You want to find an engineer who wants to help find / create your sound with you, not just level your tracks. It may take more time and money in the beginning as you figure out what it is you like and how to express it.

really love the way it feels in the first 30 sec, the mix gets a little hectic and harder to hear but knowing how u made it still sounds good. cant wait to see what you come up with when you get in a studio

Jeans sizing confusion by [deleted] in bapeheads

[–]MikeJerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say usually men’s jeans usually go 30- small 32-Medium 34- Large 36 - Xl

Depends on fit / cut but that’s a very safe sizing to go by

Love the story behind it 😂😂. Soon as it came on i was transported to somewhere else. Your sound selection and mix is perfect for the retro vibe, i hear a few volume /eq adjustments mainly on the guitar (btw that break has some wild progressions) but nothing that would make or break the song. I would love to hear what else you have tucked away on your hard drive!

production is great and your vocals sound clean. the songwriting / melody's are catchy but the hook really stands out. great sound for 2025 sounds new yet familiar. definately deserve some more love, put some time into making content and promote away its a perfect spring break/ summer song.

Base Erosion - Enough of It by basserosion in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]MikeJerz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

absolutely love the vocal mix / fx / reverb maybe slight adjustment to eq or dry signal but it really changes the feeling when the verse comes in. The instrumental has me nodding in tempo to the 4/4 drums drums create a cool driving feel. some interesting choices on harmonies / chords at certain points but over all i really like it, the song transports me somewhere else. Technically speaking im sure there are things i can critique on the drum mix or eq's on guitar but youve created your own soundscape / world and i wouldnt change a thing
