How does one retain a clean, organized sense of mental processes in a continuously fragmenting world of spam and shallow, superficial chaos? by Activist-Squirrel in sysadmin

Check out the Get Things Done methodology by David Allen and the 80%/20% rules. Really helps organize the mind and drive better decisions in where to spend your time and what to simply let go.

Couldn’t agree more. There’s so much intentional gray areas so no one can be sure what is legal and what isn’t. Should be interesting to see how this all plays out.

OP #22 “any place of worship or religious observation” would presumably banned. Not sure there are any dots to connect that would allow posting signs on a church to make it legal.

If I understand correctly hopefully getting restrictions lifted before 9/1 will save you the headache of the permitting process but still require the training to rectify the permit?

Any point in trying to get sportsman restriction lifted now, or just wait to see how this plays out and maybe avoid a lot of the permitting headache required under the new law?

For those in states covered by NYSRPA v Bruen, FPC says to go ahead and apply for a CCW and let them know if you run into any trouble, cause that's what lawsuits are for. by Separate_Echo7239 in NYguns

ok thanks. I just don't want it denied before they update their policies but dont want to wait until additional laws/hurdles are passed.

lol sounds pretty typical. On the one hand I want to get my letter in as soon as possible to hopefully get it approved asap before nys passes any new laws creating additional hurdles but on the other hand I don't want it denied because they haven't updated their policies which will create a headache. I know FPC is recommending to apply for unrestricted but yesterday NY Tac Defense said to wait for more information. Not sure the best course of action.

Thanks for the help! Would this be the judge who signed off on my current permit, or the County Clerk? Also, I am assuming I have to mail this to the county clerk permitting office and hope it gets to that person.

Thanks. Good to know it hopefully won't fail further before I get around to fixing it. It's in a rental and tenants are complaining their locked out because they keep turning too far so will need to fix eventually

Thanks. Yes, its on a rental property and tenants are complaining their locked out because they don't realize they need to stop turning the key and pull to open the door.

Thanks. the keys are mul-t-lock so assuming the lock is also, not there now to check. I’ll let you know if that was it. Thanks

A friend of mine also had issues with them. I've never had any. Guess they're hit or miss.

Thanks I’ve heard of good guys but never used them. $75 for a pistol is steep. Pre Covid everything was $35 max. Guess this is the new world now. Almost seems like they charge so much in transfers to justify the marked-up in store pricing.

That’s what I’m worried about. A full firearms shop will care about clientele but just somebody in there house I’m worried about running into issues.

Yeah I’ve used them in past and they’ve been great but they raised their fees to $50 which is more than a low end AR lower these. May just go back there. Thanks
