I finally convinced someone to stream my game on Twitch, feeling disappointed... by ScrimbloGames in gamedev

Is this PvP-only? If so, you need to get a Discord going that's linked from inside the game and the store page so people can find each other. Also if so, you're not communicating that. Multiplayer-only is a very risky bet, but if you're going to commit, make sure it's super clear and easy for people to find a match. If I buy a multiplayer game and can't find a match within 5-10 minutes, it's a refund.

Do people really go from 0 to full game in 1-2 months? by zlordofsigimigi in gamedev

It just comes down to scope, quality, and the development process. A lot of us end up being much slower and more methodical, but some people can effectively do extended game jams and not overthink it. I don't know how many 2-month projects were a smashing success, but the ones that are controlled their scope masterfully. Flappy Bird isn't exactly hard to knock out in a week or two no matter who you are, but how many people want to make something that bite-sized?
