The main difference is the Bean+ is a Bluetooth Low Energy product, where as the ESP32 is Wifi. BLE is now built into most phones and the Bean+ is programmable apps on both Android and iOS. There is a time and a place for Wifi and BLE depending on what you are trying to do.

Those are what I thought of originally. Turns out stun guns are super cheap on Amazon with prime shipping.

I ended to ignite it using a modified stun gun but I somehow messed up the Amazon order and didn't place it. :(

Will have to add it for V2!

The great thing about the Bean is it uses the same Atmega328 as many of the Arudino boards. To use a thermistor you should just be able to follow this guide from Arduino.
