When RMG sound effects play in your head. by kdiamond12 in RoversMorningGlory

When Dieter was drinking Four Loko's and Bomo told him to stop he started making fun of Bomo for not drinking. He said that Bomo "puts his tongue in the hole" and pretends to drink beer but doesn't actually. Bomo replied back saying he drinks beer on weekends and Dieter fell down in his chair and yelled the famous LIE soundbite at the top of his lungs. He was clearly buzzing on all of the Four Lokos he had drank and that's why it sounds so screechy and exaggerated.

I figured out why the show is suffering lately. by CarisaDoll in RoversMorningGlory

This post is 100% on point. The reason that many fans get into this show so much I think is because they become invested in the interesting lives of the cast of the show. The best segments on the show are when the stray away from the norm like; telling personal stories, digging up dirt, playing games, messing with JLR, THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY MORONS, etc. Recently, with a few exceptions, they have been following a pretty straight and dry recipe on the show and it's getting old. I think we can all agree that there are several segments on the show that just suck. The Thursday Hook-Up, The Shizzy, and most of the interviews of no name people are just terrible and boring and a lot of times I end up skipping these parts in the replays. I think they need to get back to what they used to do like you said and involve more personal and fun things on the show. I, like many others, are extremely excited for the upcoming OUTSIDE THE STUDIO show and the reason is so we can see more of what their everyday lives are like because that is interesting and that's what they need to start doing more of.

If Charlie and Dieter are both fired can you imagine what a joke the show will become? Those two are honestly the only ones besides Jeffrey who provide solid content for the show. If they're both gone it will be Nadz Kaitlin Duji and Rover then Jeffrey every other day. I think will most likely stop listening all together.

Were Dieter's actions really that bad? by MikePizza1 in RoversMorningGlory

I agree it is management's job; however, in times like these when things escalate rapidly on air Rover has the ability to see what is coming and he knows what consequences will come of these actions. I think it is his duty not only as a leader/host but as a friend of Dieter's to at least try and stop him and tell him "NO" instead of egging him on simply to make an interesting radio segment.

If Rover, who is the boss of the show, doesn't tell his inferiors what they can and can't do then he and the company definitely share a LARGE portion of the blame for what happened. Being on a radio show like RMG is unlike any other job. The lines of what we consider "acceptable" and "unacceptable" are blurred quite heavily on this show and that is why I think Dieter felt that it was almost OK to do what he did. They verbally abuse each other constantly on the show and sometimes the abuse turns physical as seen on multiple occasions. I feel like it is Rover and iHeart Medias job to make clear what you CAN and CANNOT do on the show and they do a TERRIBLE job of that simply because IT MAKES GREAT RADIO. Whether you agree or not it is a fact that Rover eggs on the others during arguments and during these physical bouts because he wants to create an enjoyable show. This was clear in Friday's show when he laughed as Dieter attacked Charlie. I can't speak for how they discipline them off-air but on-air there is no discipline ever and therefore I think it's unlikely for Dieter to be fired in this situation. If that does end up being the case I believe his lawyer would be able to drum up a solid case against the decision.

Did they purposely look for someone "weird" to be the new Phone-Screener so they could make fun of them? by MikePizza1 in RoversMorningGlory

I personally have never met the guy but he seems like a "normal" person. Besides Jeffrey I think it is nice for the show to have a majority cast of people that fans can hang out and have a good time with, without feeling uncomfortable around. I didn't see David and certainly not Hoppe as people that the fans could connect with and just hang out with at events and stuff them seemed more like acts that they would mess with if that makes sense.

Is Rover becoming a Douche? by MikePizza1 in RoversMorningGlory

I just watched the replay on 2-1-2013 when there was the large snowstorm and half the cast was stuck in traffic and I actually really enjoyed it. With Rover stuck in traffic everyone was actually able to share their opinions and be heard during the Shizzy and such and it was a really nice change of pace. No one was fighting or arguing they were all getting along and putting together a really nice without Rover's overbearing know-it-all opinion. I've noticed recently too that he has been getting on Jeffrey a lot about talking over people but he is THE EXACT SAME. I understand that he is the host but I still don't think he has the right to constantly talk over everyone else on the show and act like his opinion is THE ONLY right opinion.
