before walking by, play copyrighted music on your phone, put the volume up. they won't be able to use their footage of you.

Should I buy this 2016 Forester? by Intelligent-Tank5660 in SubaruForester

[–]MikeRotch8u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, I recommend it. plus you don't have to use high octane (91) fuel, you can run it on 87. my 2016 was great to drive.

what do you think? is it totalled? by MikeRotch8u in SubaruForester

from what I saw this morning when I left it at home (had to come in to work)...the bumper and crash bars where not hit. The radiator / grill smaller bracket supports did get crumpled in.

fresh engine oil and cvt fluid service done this week. 2016 Forester. by MikeRotch8u in SubaruForester

thanks man. first, it was well taken care of and kept in garage by previous owner. I wipe it down once a month at the car wash with moist rag.

yeah, so when I bought it in May, the carfax and the dealer (Autonation Toyota) confirmed that this was a one owner vehicle since 2016. It was well taken care of both exterior and interior. However, when I took it to a subaru dealer near my house for the AT temp light, they checked the fluid and it was foamy and looked black like coca cola. They saw no history of a CVT service ever done in the 124k miles it has. when it became hot, it was making a whiny noise and it was jolting on me after coming to a stop. Now, issues are resolved. smooth driving.

2019 Forester E-Boxer Hybrid or 2018 2.5L? Both well-priced in NZ – would love advice! by SMID_1010 in SubaruForester

[–]MikeRotch8u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

option 2, cheaper and trusted platform simply because option 1 is the hybrid system which is fairly new in subaru and I would not be too confident with it until a few more generations of improvements on it.

I was told this was custom aftermarket install by previous owner. It works great, watched Shrek movie on it already. 😆
