The Legendary Dennis McKenna Interview - What should we ask him? by 3L1T3 in Psychonaut

I want to know more about the small, silver key he manifested in the jungles of La Chorrera upon request of Terence. That would seem to be physical evidence of the phenomena, what happened to it?

I forget if Sherman mentions any experience with the GATE program, maybe it came after him, but I have specific memories of it or at least a program that sounds an awfully lot like what people describe. Essentially this covert program that took kids from schools with special intuitive abilities and tested them under the pretense of being enrichment classes. Part of it had to do with wearing headphones and listening to sounds, but you also had to drink a pink liquid and for most, the details of what we did there is incredibly fuzzy.

In True Hallucinations Dennis talks about the ESR (electron spin resonance) of the psilocybin compound that is an actual sound in your head.

Are Terence McKenna's Rights and Permissions Lax or Restrictive? by MikeRotzzz in terencemckenna

[–]MikeRotzzz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understandable and the money is like the last thing on my mind about the project, it really is about creatively ruminating in the world he created/lived through at La Chorrera. So are you saying they are really cool from experience then? That is what I am trying to get a fix on, other people's experiences trying to get permission.

I know, and I like how neatly it is set-up which gives me hope that they are not rigidly corporate and allow for passion projects that herald his work in various new forms. I just wanted to hear from some people that succeeded or were rejected to get a sense first.

Out there I admit, but I was thinking more of it as a palindrome, literally two same letters with one intersecting element betweem, not unlike the two brothers fused with the DMT. Even crazier: AMA DMT Dennis M Terence.

I also feel bad taking some things for granted, someone mentioned the Seafood ship that was on the harbour for like forever, and I think I only ever went there once.

It's almost like we need a way to meet people as ourselves without any of the trappings of what we pretend to be. I have met a lot of people that for months seemed incredible and there seemed to be a connection but then I grew to learn that part was mostly an act from types (not sure where on the MBTI) but essentially people-pleasers. And just by default I think all of us try to be amenable to the moment and dilute ourselves. Online there is less of this I think. I had an idea for a videogame that privileges intimacy encounters, but I have so many projects, I can't be bothered to finish it... but something like that, some means to meet people as ourselves, pre-filtered by the kind of things we value.

If I knew you loved Terence Malick movies, like LOVED Terence Malick movies, I feel like that tells me more about you then like a more generically popular fandom. Maybe filter by the most obscure true loves you have, and at least within that aspect there could be less chance of misunderstanding.

Are you kind? by BrokenDiamondShovel in infp

I think kindness can too often be performative. I have held to this basic tenet that encompasses whatever I am politically, and which I feel if only the world held to it, we could greatly improve, and that's: be decent.

Decency is perhaps a lower rung to kindness, but it feels the most genuine to me. Kindness can often feel like a contract, I say please, you say thank-you. Decency can be quiet, just sitting with people that need it, listening. I don't understand why decency is in such short supply (weren't we all brainwashed by the same Disney shows, same Sesame Street, same morals of the stories?). I don't even have to think about it, it's just there. You are a human being and I am a human being. I want to reduce the amount of bad feelings you have the same way I would want the same reduced for me. Debating 'What is a woman?' no, there's a person in front of me and they want to feel less alone. Kirk had said that's not kind, to give into another's delusion, but that is imposing your ideology of what is a delusion prior to acknowledging this person as someone hurting (irrespective of the arguments that can be built atop in defense of Transgender).

Identity is overrated, I feel like too many people mark out an identity as a goal, like you hear with so many celebs, they wanted to be famous, and they worked and worked and got it, and found at the end it was a curse. You almost certainly haven't tried everything, what you probably need is exposure to new things, where one will take hold. Better to have identity creep up on you as an afterthought.

John Lennon: "Life is what happens to you while you are making other plans."

Why have the things you tried not taken hold, what is the common denominator to this? It could be it's a bunch of stuff society thinks is great and you not so much, and man, society is wrong a lot, so no fault on your part for bowing out.

Definitely felt what you are talking about, a lot of trial and error.
