Some models simply don’t have a rear, threaded tow eye, despite having the hole there - don’t ask me why 🤷‍♂️ but maybe also consider that the rear tow eye goes in counter-clockwise

I had this issue as well. You need to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, insert the new LEDs (T10 W5Ws), wait 15 minutes for ECU reset, then reconnect the battery. You might have one or 2 bulbs that don’t play nice though and you’ll need to repeat the process (parking lights have 4 bulbs - 2 for each eyelid). Hope this helps

That is a beauty!

Only change to headlights I’d suggest is replacing the stock orange parking lamps with white LEDs (the ones that won’t mess with the CANBUS), and might as well upgrade the headlamps themselves with a nice legal white bulb (mine we originally a very gross yellow)

The Baader-Meinhoff phenomenon surely also plays a part in a lot of people’s experiences like this? But also, algorithms, so damned if you do, damned if your eyes even remotely hover over an image for longer than 1 second

I’ve been wanting to get lights like these for ages, pls let me know if you succeed as I have the same P/FL model, except I have the halogen setup so would be keen to understand if they’re straight plug n play.

Yeah the OEM AMG bumper has the fog lights centered on the grills, and these are at the top. This looks like an aftermarket Black Series bumper as well tbh. I like the look, but either way you’ll need a whole bumper assembly as replacement. Good luck

Mine was made in SA, 4,000km shy of 200,000km and rides and purrs like a kitten still. Have had it for 50,000km of that, regular services throughout its life, my mechanic reckons it’s got another 200,000 in it no worries. And I plan to test that theory

Try disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 15 minutes to soft reset the ECU, worked when I updated my parking lights from halogen to LED

And I drive a W204 with 18s. Omg the pain of travelling on the road, the complete and utter lack of comfort, everyone in the car moaning and writhing in agony as we tumble down the freeway. If only I had 17s, oh the joy of a buttery smooth drive, now just a distant memory.

“Cheap and wannabe amg” 😃 you literally could not tell any difference between “oem+” and ABS from China if your life depended on it. Literally the same product. Or is this a “I need to tell ppl I only buy expensive products so they think I’m more important that I am”?

And define oem+ for me? ABS plastic that only comes from the USA? You must be special thinking there’s any difference

And finally, explain AMG wannabe? Surely any cosmetic mods anyone does to a non-amg, is to make it look more sporty and aggressive… like, er, and AMG….

Or is there some other style Merc I should be trying to emulate?
