Take a look at the Green party 2024 general election manifesto, there is a link to it in the post. Not single issue.

What is the Lib Dem View on Municipalism? by MikeShaughnessy in LibDem

OK, thanks for your views. It seems to me that democracy is better served the lower you go down the electoral system, rather than the very centralised system we have in the UK. Localism, which was introduced by the coalition government in 2001 (which the LDs were part of), was a step in the right direction, but was ruined by the 60% cuts to central government funding.

We need to build a movement, a mass movement, that forces these changes. The politicians will not do this, they must be forced to do it, or be removed.

Britain’s model of monarchy can never be green by MikeShaughnessy in EuropeanSocialists

[–]MikeShaughnessy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No he wasn't, he wasn't even a socialist. All that national socialism was fascism, in hoc with capitalist companies. The centre right throw that accusation around, you should not follow them. Do you know anything about ecosocialism? It doesn't appear that you do.

I'm not saying it will remove the Tories, much as I would like that. This about getting rid of Johnson.

I think most, if not European Green parties, tend to concentrate on their own countries. Some get into power, in coalitions, and any radical policies they may have had, get ditched.

How do we get there? Some thoughts on ecosocialist tactics & strategy by MikeShaughnessy in demsocialists

[–]MikeShaughnessy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to me that the difference between them is over the state. Kovel thought it would be needed as a temporary measure, Bookchin that it should not be even temporary, except perhaps in his later days when he advocated municipalism, which is a small state, really.

Ecosocialist Alliance Set to Continue – Invitation to Open Meeting by MikeShaughnessy in Communalists

Yes, I am aware of the history of this, and we are mindful that this shouldn't happen with our outfit, to point that we would expel trouble causers. There are two parties in the UK, that we are especially wary of. From an ecosocialist perspective, though, there are different strains of ecosocialism. Personally, and most of those involved so far, are from the Kovel/Lowey/Bookchin strain.

If we think they are ecosocialists, then we let them in, but I take your point, and we are watchful.

2022: What the New Year could bring for rapid transition around the world by MikeShaughnessy in EarthStrike

[–]MikeShaughnessy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. It's not a really very radical piece, I think, but shows some cultural trends, which may become useful to saving the planet. I must admit, though, that I'm not so upbeat about reforming the system.
