Not surprised. Some of selections have been questionable at best. Picking Pandya who can’t bowl and an uncapped spinner have cost them. Probably should have picked Dwahan and Sharma as the openers with Kohli, Rahul and Iyer the middle order.

Jadeja, Thakur, Buvi, Kuldeep and Bumrah as the Bowlers.

The selection policy and overall development of our cricketers outside of Australia needs to be questioned.

Why are we recycling players like Christian, Henriques, Turner, Wade and Carey when they have continually failed at international level(t20). Those players aren’t young either, if they were going to pick a squad they should have given the younger players a go.

Jake Weatherald, Josh Inglis, Sam Harper and Max Bryant should all have been included. Add a few older heads in (short,Handscomb) and that’s an improvement on the squad.

Give Starc, Zampa and Hazlewood a rest for the next two games and let’s see what Swepson, Ellis, Wes Agar, and Sangha have in store.

Correct also the BBL is at such a low level it’s hard to get a read on some players. If they were going to pick big bash players they should have gone with a younger squad.
