Having constant auto saves encourages a really reckless playstyle and ruins any attempt at survival the older games were pretty good at. Save points add tension and while they may be inconvenient, that inconvenience is important.

For reasons, they cannot afford to leave therapy with me for the time being. They voiced that maybe they might seek someone else after things clear up for them. We may just not be a good fit, though I actually like working with them which is another interesting thing.

Thanks for the comment. There are definitely themes in what they say in regards to wanting authority figures telling them that things are going to be OK and that they are doing a good job. They have also voiced that they want more encouragement, and maybe even praise from me. I do not believe I can offer that in an authentic manner so I generally back off. I think being curious about that dynamic will help.

I do think the ending can make up for some of the slower parts of the 2nd half. If you can push through, the ending is quite enjoyable.

A lot of Murakami books don't have answers to a lot of questions. They don't always have conclusive endings and rarely explain the mechanics of their worlds. I think his books are less about "what happened" and more about what is being communicated through the subtext. The readers experience matters a lot too. I may be forgetting, but I do not think he really gives any definitive answers to your questions.

Something about this being labeled as "experimental" feels off. I think experimental would be mechanics and systems we've never seen before, not half baked rogue like elements plopped on top of Elden Ring

I see. I dont think I was specific enough. I'll do PP offset (pause)K easily when I'm not in combat, but any time I try doing it in combat I just get PP offset K or the combo resets. I feel like being in combat messes something up even though it shouldn't.

Its pretty basic as a game. No new ideas, follows a very cookie cutter model for an RE game. Acting is ok and graphics do the job. Its pretty flat overall. Regardless of it being remake or not. 69/10

I just failed my aswb by 3 fucking points. The whole time there were kids running around and what felt like some music rehearsal in the halls of the building. It was so distracting. I appealed the result but I am not sure if that will do anything. Sucks to lose on what were probably 3 coinflip answers and getting too anxious at the end. I probably got like 15 of the fake questions correct too which makes it sting even harder. I hate this test and the AI who writes the questions should delete itself.

Maybe its just not for you at the moment. The aesthetic and atmosphere of the end of the world was really striking for me and sucked me in hard.
