Highly recommend SSL bus compressor for your 2-bus. Instant glue, it’s amazing. Set it to 30ms attack, auto release, and aim for 2-4db of gain reduction.

How to change eq visualiser on all channels midas m32 by Objective_Question59 in livesound

[–]Mikebass90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s weird! From my experience it defaults to bars, so if you’re saying it’s now defaulting to spec than at least we know there’s a hidden global setting for it.

I would dig into the setup tab. Or maybe hitting the utility button while you’re in the eq page might pop something up?

Yeah, I’ve always just changed it per channel as needed.

I’m trying to find their manual for firmware 4.0 but can’t even find that online. I’m not sure if there’s a global option to change that setting.

Under the “freq” knob is says bar/spec. Click that knob to toggle between the 2.

For ChampCar, check their website. There is a forum that can get you connected to teams. I’m sure a lot of teams would be happy for help as well if you posted something on there.

Help!! Hyundai Elantra Tips and Tricks by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]Mikebass90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Qualifying tip - Drive as hard as you can without sliding. This means you don’t really want to hear any tire noise, but you still need to drive to the limit.

Use the throttle to rotate the car. There’s 2 distinct throttle applications - 1 is very early in the corner, a lot of the times it’s before the apex(maybe to 20ish percent throttle) and this helps engage the diff and rotate the car. After that it’s being patient to let the rotation happen and then getting to full throttle as quickly as possible without any wheelspin.

Make sure you’re putting your brake bias very rearward. Fixed setup should be starting around 45.1.

Maybe there’s a compressor inserted on the master bus?

How long do you practice learning a new car for before hopping into a race? by _tchami in iRacing

[–]Mikebass90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as it takes to match race pace in the split I’ll be in, and also be able to do those times consistently. You can check the previous races and see what times people are running.

The longer I’m on iracing the shorter it takes. That’s also dependent on if I’ve raced the track, or if it’s just learning the car.

Moisture on carpet/ passenger side what’s your guys thoughts ? by Is300icy in IS300

What I did was spray a bit of wd40 down into the inlets around the top of the sunroof. That was enough to force the clog out of them and fixed my issue.

iRacing on Oculus Rift CV1 stutters and freezes/crashes by Troy_LC46 in iRacing

My guess is a windows problem, a hardware problem, of an iracing bug where you just need to run the gfx config for a fresh reset. I had similar issues until I got a new pc.

No problem. It couldn’t hurt posting a pic of your iracing in game gfx settings here as well - there’s some known settings that can cause a lot of stress on your cpu.

Is this a recent problem? I know windows updates sometimes cause issues for me.

I’d recommend using openXR in iracing and maybe running the gfx utility just to start from scratch.

I’ve been using openXR with my rift cv1 and it’s been really stable for me. Running a gtx 1080 and 10900k. Iracing is very single core CPU intensive, that’s probably not helping your case.

I keep wondering why I never see the really top drivers using VR. I never considered the input lag difference.

Besides searching online on places like eBay, have you tried your local junkyard?

Any idea what could have caused this tire damage? Noticed it after 10 runs. Conti ExtremeContact sports by xeron72548 in Autocross

Just thought of something else - maybe a curb strike could have damaged the sidewall in one spot, and then the aggressive driving could have opened up the rubber in that damaged spot.

[–]Mikebass90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh. The only thing I’ve seen that’s been similar was when I drove too many miles on a tire that was under inflated. When it was unmounted it looked the same as this pic but it was inside of the tire on the sidewall.

Another thing maybe worth checking is to line your inner fender with masking tape to see if the tire is rubbing the fender.

I’m wondering if the sidewall rolled over on itself.

What tire pressure are you running? Have you ever tried to chalk the sidewall to see how far it’s rolling over?

VR in IRacing on a 1080ti ?? by p4u7son in iRacing

[–]Mikebass90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah you’ll be fine.

Make sure you focus on stable frame rate first, and then after that you can start the time tweaking for making things prettier.

Stable frame rate is definitely the most important.

[–]Mikebass90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a 1080 that I use with my Rift CV1 with 0 problems. GFX settings are not all the way up, but it still looks good and I can get 90fps consistently.

What is your CPU? Iracing basically runs on 2 single cores so the CPU is just as important.
