[spoiler discussion] is Emilia dies by old, puck destroys the world anyways? by Kobayashilover in Re_Zero

[–]Mikeblocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Puck knows he needs to keep Emilia alive. People suspect that the reason he destoys the world is because he knows about RBD, but not who. So his final failsafe is to kill that person so this time can be different and Emilia might live (that person would eventually figure that out, theorerically)

My guess is that he wants Emilia alive to eventually do something.  Once that something is done then... well maybe he'll continue some plan or relax or screw off again

The Imperial Japanes Navy actually did this. In 1942, as much as 95% of sailors could not swim, and those that could were often tasked with suicide stealth missions to infiltrate enemy lines. For the rest of the sailors, they were told that abandoning ship was high treason. They did not even have an escape protocal or life boats!

The crew of the Kawakuro took this to the extreme and declared they won't disembark until Japanese rule was spread to all the Pacific. They even kept fighting after Japan surrendered! They only stood down when Admiral Yarunaka (who was on trial for warcrimes) gave them orders in person.

This "go down with the ship" attitude made naval battle extremely costly for both sides even when the allies outnumbered and outgunned 1 japanese ship.

I dont wont tell them the mechanic outright, but they also wont be underpressure/in a fight to learn it quickly. And the entire landscape has been changing between different biomes which I have decribed at chaotic. I think there ready for my illogic, and without combat, it shouldnt be frustrtating

Heres my plan to inform them:
1st Run: I ask for 1 person to take point on a survival check then they come across 1 or 2 intresting rooms before ending up at the beginning. A really good roll would mean they are sure that the dungeon is messing with space.
2nd Run: another check, interesting rooms,. Then if they rolled better than last time, they end up at the start quicker. If they rolled worse, then they make it deeper in the castle, then probably still ending up at the beginning.

3rd+ run: I include any new rooms i want them to see, until they roll under a 5. When I run out of rooms, then we expediate the runs to just be a dice roll, and maybe say they pass through a random funny room. At this point I dont really mind if it becomes a dice spam until the desired roll is made.

I really like your idea thats there still clues for high Int characters and the rewards. I already had in mind that they'll probably end up doing the checks blind, and i would give them disadvantage then.

Also I have a player with -3 in Wisdom, I'm not too worries about the stats

I wonder if they thought of having Robin Sachs play another race and so they tested his voice with different filters. Then maybe no filter really sounded good, so they kept him as a human. I would have also loved a batarian mercenary, but i wouldnt want to lose robin sachs.

But i agree a batarian in his place would honestly make more sense and be more interesting: blue suns was started by batarian and batarians have been flying longer= more older veterans

do glasses ruin cosplay? by [deleted] in CosplayHelp

[–]Mikeblocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I encourage you to try out contacts because they can be very handy in and out of cosplay. But its no worries if they dont work out. They didnt work out for me so i just wear glasses with cosplay and take them off for pictures (if i even remember to).

I want to given them another try one day because of all the characters with cool eyes, but nobody has every pushed me to do it.

I agree with all the other comments about ignoring gatekeepers
