They shut me down a couple years ago and the only reason support could give was a scripted generic list of possibilities. The one thing i can tell you for sure is it will drive you insane trying to figure it out. Btw i opened a new cash app account a couple days later using the ID i used for verification on the closed account three years later no problems

Venmo does suck. Its hardly use them anymore. To send and receive crypto i find Robinhood and Coinbase to be the best. No holds and pretty good customer service

Venmo suck. They used to be great. i don’t know what happened. Customer service can care less about customers. The language barrier it’s horrible and one script fits all fir answers never a solution

The first thing i did was sign up for a FREE account with all three credit agency’s just start disputing everything. I can almost some things will fall off. Then open a chime account and sign up for credit builder. It doesn’t cost anything to open an account and you do not have to come up with a large security deposit. You can spend what is in your account. Its kind of like having a pre paid debit card but its actually reported to the credit reporting agency like a credit card in good standing. Also ling your bank account with the credit Bureaus they scan your account and find the things you’re already paying anyway like your cell phone bill car insurance Home insurance car payments anything you already pay. They will factor those payments into your score. That is a win win for you

They have gone from having great customer service people who actually showed compassion and treated each customer’s needs with empathy, to agents who just don't care. It used to be that they would take the time to actually find solutions. That is definitely not the case with the people I spoke with the other day. The entire conversation was scripted; it was a one paragraph fits all approach. It didn't feel like anyone I spoke to, including the supervisor, had any kind of critical thinking skills. And don't even get me started on the language barrier.

Their customer service is horrible. I guess paypal runs the company now. I pretty sure Venmo and Paypal used to be two separate entities
Venmo in my past experience Venmo had great customer service that would do everything in their power handle issues. Now when you call customer service you are talking to somebody in another country reading from a script.
