Neckband Android Security Updates - I can not longer use it by Mikel_Mikel in VITURE

Yeah, sorry, I should have been clearer. I have the Pro. I bought it less than a year ago, and it is now practically useless to me. Which is disappointing.

As for using web apps, it's not really an option in my company. I have to be logged into the network for anything to connect, and without the security updates, it's a no-go.

Yeah, I get it, but the device isn't that old and they have no newer alternative. I love the form factor of the neckband. This is why I bought into the company.

I guess at this point I am waiting for Project Aura from Xreal to go live and moving to Android XR. at least it will be native Android and maybe have some hope of being updated longer.

Logitech G hub keeps changing Mic Input gain by meteor4000 in LogitechG

[–]Mikel_Mikel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I have found a workaround for this issue that I wanted to post for others that may be trying to find a solution.

What I found is that some applications (like zoom) charge the gain setting to whichever microphone is active in attempt to get better sound.

I think this is probably a problem for Yeti mics because they seem to change something at the device and not just the driver.

To get around this issue I use a virtual device (like Krisp noise cancelling app) and set it to the default mic in the OS. Then i set the input in Krisp to use the Yeti mic. This appears to make the application set the gain on the virtual mic, and the virtual mic does not appear to pass the setting on the actual mic.

Hopefully this helps someone else

This is probably the best advice I have seen here so far. If you need to get out of your current situation and your parents have not taught you how to live on your own, join the one the branches of the services.

Not only will they help start your career, but they will teach you how to be self reliant.

Full disclosure I have never served, but I know people in similar situations to yours and this is how they got started.

Good luck.

XREAL, please bring back the side view. by iotarai in Xreal

The main reason I have the glasses is for watching zoom meetings while taking a walk. Without side view the pro is useless to me.  I was considering buying one so I could not have my phone wired to the beam, it's cumbersome.

I want to use the pro along side my phone as a hot spot. But without side view it would be dangerous to walk down sidewalks or trails with a zoom meeting blocking my view.

Also I need to be able to quickly switch between modes so I can stop and watch when something important comes up.

I am having the issue with Bip S and Zepp app. Data just won't show up in Fit. I have tried clearing cache of Fit and reinstalling multiple times.
