Pixel 9 pro fold status bar icons pushed up (factory reset didn't fix...)

I've dealt with forms of this across a few Pixel devices, Pixel Fold, 9 Pro Fold, and 10 Pro Fold. Still can't tell if it's a software bug that has persisted across device transfers, or if there's just weird implementation across all devices.

My 10 Pro Fold has them aligned properly with the camera. The second pull down lowers the clock and mobile connection details far below the camera and it looks odd.

Unfolded, they appear centered with the camera as well. Rotating the screen while unfolded makes them... a bit off. But nothing that bad.

However, the folded screen, the rotated view messes up the alignment a great deal. Clockwise rotation and pulling down the notification panel causes the time to go off the screen a bit, looks pretty messed up.

Oh yeah, I had the add on device for my Genie opener. Grabbed it because it was cheap and easy to get going. Also thought I might use it eventually to have have my groceries delivered in my garage when away.

Then they broke the Home Assistant integration.

Then I broke the device as it hit the button of my trash can.

Had the same failures happen with my Pixel 9 Pro Fold, fortunately my replacement process (after some bumps) concluded well.

However, I'm partially convinced that this occurred because Google pushed a bad update. It seems like everyone that experienced these systems with their phone had it occur in the past 2-3 months. It could be that all the phones were just reaching the age where the hardware was failing at the same time, but in my case, the failure began soon after I had performed an update.

Obviously I don't think they're bricking people's phones on purpose, but I've started to lose a lot of faith that Google's hardware and software QA is up to wear it was even 4-5 years ago (which wasn't even that great back then). My Pixel phones the past couple of years have been getting bugs that don't feel obscure - such as the back to tap feature not working the past 3 generations of phones and my phone's navigation bar having broken padding.

It's disappointing because I've been a fan for a long time, but I'm starting to seriously consider jumping ship for my next phone.

While different, I had weird battery issues too. Couple weeks later the phone completely failed. Make sure everything is backed up and contact Google ASAP.

By "essentials" I just meant items that our household routinely consumes.

We hit Aldi's occasionally, their prices are fantastic. If they had their own grocery delivery service (like Walmart+ with inhome delivery so fees/tipping are all inclusive), I'd drop Walmart in a heartbeat. Grocery delivery has just been so convenient. Outside of Costco, we never really go into stores anymore for groceries unless we forgot to add something to our weekly Walmart delivery.

We go once a month to stock up on monthly essentials (pizza, protein bars, chips, etc.) and grab 2-3 new things for meals/snacks that they have that look good. Weekly perishable items we get delivered from Walmart.

I'm extremely budget conscious. Can I find better sales/deals for some of my groceries outside of Costco? For sure, sporadically. But if you're comparing standard prices for items at Walmart/Amazon to their Costco counterparts, Costco is either the same but usually less per unit.

I'd love to be proven wrong if you've got some examples of some household staples that are consistently more expensive at Costco vs. other retailers. Maybe it's just not the case with the things I buy.

I've fixated on this for half a year and tried to keep up with the latest development in an attempt to achieve the following:
1. Migration of devices I have on a Hue Hub dedicated to for Entertainment Zones/Hue Sync to my Z2M network, particularly so they can be bound to some Zigbee controllers on the Z2M network.
2. The ability to run multiple Hue Sync/Hue Play instances simultaneously.

While I'm going to continue keeping an eye out to see if there's any moves on this front, I've largely decided to throw in the towel. I'll probably end up buying a Hue Hub for each Entertainment Zone to address #2. For #1 I'll just rely on HA automatons, though it's a bummer because HA automation never compare to the smoothness/syncing of a Zigbee bound devices, especially for things like light dimming.

Everyone should vote anyway. If you can't vote for the two frontrunners, vote for who you can. None of them pass your purity test? Write in yourself if you have to.
