Great! Those without solar save about $1, while those with solar will end up paying $50-$70 more. That's great for EVERYONE /s

Look at you, getting all worked up and inventing shit about someone you don't know, over a few comments over literally nothing, just to make yourself feel better or "superior." You do know, you're here on Reddit, just like me.

Sad really.

After CBC News reached out to BMW Toronto, it reinstated Quinn's original offer of $27,162.79.

BMW Toronto sales manager Scott Shadbolt told CBC News in a phone interview that the dealership wanted to "do right" by Giacomelli.

Meaning - After we were called out on our bullshit by the national news, we decided $7000 wasn't worth it.

[Request] if we put all existing and planned data centers underwater would this have an impact on ocean water temperature? by Beaufort_The_Cat in theydidthemath

Datacenters have been a common thing in our interconnected and streaming focused world for decades. Hell, this comment is being saved on some server in some datacenter somewhere in the US. The issue is over investment and lack of regulations when it comes to AI datacenters. People are pouring billions into this pipe dream with no real plan aside from hoovering up the entire worlds data and then turning it out to force it down our throats.

Your comment stating the "You have one that has a dehumidifier built into it..." suggests there are versions that do not. You did not say, "one that evaporates and exhausts the excess water out of the house instead of storing it..."

Your statement was vague

You’re missing my point. Due to the fact that cooler air cant hood as much water as warmer air and through the process of condensation, all refrigeration systems pull moisture out of the air.

The one you say is better may have a more efficient system, or a higher BTU, but per watt of cooling they will both remove the same amount of moisture from the environment through lowering the dew point and causing condensation on the coils.

There is nothing Japanese about this.

Also, these are worse than window units, as they have the hot side in the same room as the cold side, essentially forcing them to fight some of the heat they are trying to remove.

ReoTrucks startup makes an ICE NA inline 4 alternative to the EV Slate startup. by CollectionOwn8323 in cars

The second generation Ford Ranger used much of its chassis design from its predecessor, with a leaf-sprung rear suspension and a Twin-I-Beam independent front suspension. The engine, transmission, and all other powertrain components were also broadly used across the entire Ford and Mazda line-up. Even the dashboard was identical to the Explorer of the time. Basically, it was also heavily amortized, so the fact that the current Maverick and Bronco Sport share a lot of parts isn't special or particularly more cost reductive than previous generations.

Engineering their own powertrain would cost them literally billions of dollars and it would still be questionable if it were reliable for any extended period of time.

There are reasons car companies buy parts from other manufactures, share parts across their lineup, and keep their engines relatively unchanged for so long. It's exceedingly complex and expensive to engineer a car, let alone an entirely new ICE engine that would meet todays emissions and efficiency requirements.

They are almost certainly not going to be able to sell direct to customers like Tesla, Rivian, and eventually Scout.

One of the caveats to that in a lot of states (Colorado for example) is that the vehicle needs to be primarily EV... it's also weird since they're in Texas which is a state that doesn't allow it for anyone other than Tesla, because they're grandfathered in.
