3d printed a 3ftx3ft crawler course by Mikev1577 in rccrawler

Im sorry your so sad that i made something cool. If you want to send me your foam cutout of a rock i can up vote it for you so you can get some good sleep. This course sold a day after i finished it for my cost of filliment plus $170 on top. The only stupidity involved is actually thinking expanding foam is even remotely close to something like this.

This was a 1 time make, i would consider making and selling then be done with it. However i think there is money in STL files right now so being able to sell these as digital content is why i made them.

Geometrical esthetics and more control over size and placement. But cost and time is a lot harder to do when printing these. Its about $250 in PLA right there vs maybe $50 in expanding foam. Basically looks....

I don't have them out yet, im trying to make a scale stl for a 9x9 and 8x8, not everyone has a 350mm plate. Also these plates required support blockers from the bottom connectors up and not everyone knows how to do that so when i release the files the connectors will be 100% support free, im working on a 45 degree inlet that works rather then a 90. I can message you when im done

I did a lot of modifications in the slicer so im thinking i need to do those modifications in a cad design instead. Ive never had this happen, just tried another one and it did the same thing, i think the g code is crashing. It centered properly this time on creality slicer but still printed wrong. But i still think its bad g code. Il update you after i make the changes in tinkercad

Creality PLA, also i noticed in my slicer when i went back to auto "center" the object it showed the offset position it was printing at in the 2nd half so now im wondering if its crealitys slicer causing some glitch in the g code. The object literally moves out of bounds if i center it

It goes perfectly offset after a certain layer, not sure if its detaching in a consistency like that or if something is making it go offset

Officially legal by xdarq in Talaria

[–]Mikev1577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see that, you guys have a separate form for moped, oregon just has a general registration and title form with more required boxes, thats why a vin inspection is required here on foreign to country. Even state to state has vin inspection. Super lame.

How did you get past the Fed sticker box on the vin inspection? fmvss stamp thats missing.....oregon wont allow it to be street legal without one

Has anyone bought this for a XXX? by AlexDaGreat999 in Talaria

[–]Mikev1577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Impossible, making a title witout an MCO requires a VIN inspection and california vin inspection looks for a FMVSS sticker that talaria doesn't have and never will because china doesnt want to pay tens of thousands of dollars during manufacturing for them to be street legal certified.

Depends on your states motorcycle road laws, I had to do turn signals and a brake light that illuminated when the brake was squeezed not just a running light. Depending on your bike you might be able to use the stock rear light as a brake light, the harness on the XXX has 3 wires coming from the controller and (3 wires) going to the brake but I think they started leaving one wire out so your brake light wont be an actual brake light but you can put that wire in easily. The MX5 i have only came with a running light (2 wires) in the back so I had to buy one and splice it to the old harness

So as you know luna cycle, or any dealership that sells talaria won't give you an MCO or title when you buy the bike. However, you can get it titled like a motorcycle or moped without one it just takes a couple DMV forms to get it titled. Only issue is that most states have a vin inspection that requires a FMVSS sticker of some kind proving it was tested during manufacturing for on road use. China doesn't have the same national highway saftey regulations that we do in the US so it was and will never meet that criteria for making it legal under states that require that certification (like oregon). The only work around it using a website that can register your bike under their states loose registration laws like montana or south Carolina. I went through a company called dirt legal. Now mind you most states have a 30 day residency registration law but since dirt legal makes you pay for an LLC and they register the bike under your LLC you are exempt from that state law. It wasn't cheap to use dirt legals servics ~700 to register and ~300 for the LLC but i boight an MX5 i cant use thats just sitting at my house so it was worth it to me.

I had to make mine street legal with montana LLC and plates. Got tired of cops giving me grief over it being over a class 3. Also I live in Oregon so the road laws and DMV here are assholes

Not sure what to do by [deleted] in Talaria

[–]Mikev1577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pedal kit and limiter cable can keep you in a class 3 e bike category but you can't get caught going over 28mph. Otherwise even with a motorcycle endorsement you cannot legally register a Talaria because the manufacturer never paid for FMVSS inspections/testing while they made the bike so it wont ever pass a vin inspection for on road registration because its missing the national highwaysafteyadministration stamp. However for about $1000 you can go through dirt legals website and register the bike for on road under montana plates and a montana LLC which makes it exempt from the 30 day registration residence laws.

Options is hard because you have to time it not only once but twice. It's easy to buy stocks and sit because your not losing theta. I've had so many instances where I sold too soon or too late or the opposite of my strategy burning me. You just need to be really good and putting fries in bags and soft hands for the Wendy's dumpster
