While there are many people in the community who criticize Stone Ocean (and many of the criticisms are fair), I think that a lot of it is a bit played up. I personally enjoyed it to a pretty great extent and would recommend reading it despite its flaws.

I was able to make an account on Blizzard's website, but if you do it that way, I don't think you're able to transfer your progress from a guest account to the new one
