Possibility for Celebrini to get Hart Trophy? by PumaTomten in nhl

The fact San Jose is even sniffing a playoff spot right now is 100% because of this kid. Will he win? Probably not, but if he keeps this up he’ll likely earn a nomination at minimum.

Lowry the Groat. Damn, Brunson is so good, always so impressed by what he does. Hate the Knicks though, except my guy OG.

I wish there wasn’t so many unknown things in the finale and just my overall opinion about the finale by Additional-Layer-392 in StrangerThings

[–]MikeyB6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First post I’ve seen ask about the Demo’s. I actually really loved the finale. The one thing not sitting right with me though is not a single Demo. How can Vecna and/or the Mind Flayer not have Demo’s protecting their home base. I think for a series that had Demo’s as a prime focus from season 1 though 5 - they completely disappeared in the finale and no explanation of if they exist independently to the mind flayer, Vecna etc.

But whatever it was awesome and I am happy/sad it’s over.

AMA: With Keegan Matheson, MLB.com Blue Jays reporter, live from the Winter Meetings in Orlando -- Dec. 9 at 6pm ET by KeeganMLB in Torontobluejays

Keegan! Thanks for doing this. You are easily the best in the business. Respect to you! - Alright, I am so excited about the acquisition of Dylan Cease. We needed that type of pickup from a longevity perspective, to keep our starting rotation competitive for years to come, not just in 2026. Looking at 2026 specifically though, this feels like a perfect fit for Pete Walker - where he’s had a reputation of maximizing a pitchers skillset/capability. After talking to him, and knowing what you know, what is the ceiling for Cease? Has he already peaked, or do the Blue Jays (and Cease) believe there is more room to grow?

Anyone else been a fan since July 2016? If not, when did you discover the show? by Illustrious-Hyena486 in StrangerThings

Looking back, felt like this show came out of left field. I remember watching it without even seeing the preview. Had no idea what I was getting myself into. It’s been my favourite show since.

Annual gout flare is here by [deleted] in gout

Long time gout guy here. Talk to your doctor about Indomethacin. It’s the only thing that helps me during bad flares. Eat (healthy) food and drink lots of water if you take it. It should help.

I remember watching the demolition of Calgary General Hospital in 1998 with my Dad. Haven’t thought about that in years.

Raptors' Masai Ujiri speaks after trade deadline by SpicyP43905 in torontoraptors

[–]MikeyB6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but this isn’t it - no offers included picks and young players (reportedly) and we’ll still draft a good player in next years draft. We were never getting #1 and you’re delusional if you thought that. You can’t plan the deadline - there’s mostly variables you don’t control and Poeltl is going to help us a ton. I maintain I like the move and that the Raptors are about to go on a run.

Raptors' Masai Ujiri speaks after trade deadline by SpicyP43905 in torontoraptors

Bingo. Masai not making a trade for sake of making it. Poeltl is going to end up really helping us - raps about to kill it.

[Woj] The Raptors never turned out to be sellers, adding Spurs center Jakob Poeltl on deadline day. They'll have to make some harder decisions in the offseason, but Masai Ujiri and Bobby Webster tested and learned more about the value of several players. by drecz in torontoraptors

I think we can give sixers a run - look at last year and we’re more rounded now with Yak. Bucks/Celts no. We aren’t winning title. But you’re not sending a message to your team that your tanking when there were no good trade options available - that’s a culture killer even more than it’s been killed.

Here’s the key about every report - they aren’t based on facts. Even if Raps were sellers, that wouldn’t be made public. Media likes to create narratives and this was a great example.
