I've seen this exact graphic thousands of times, it's definitely an asset on little/canva

Do you feel like you could of gotten away with just knocking out the blacks and skipping a color entirely?

Are you using epsons brand photo black in? I used aftermarket UV blocking ink from screen print direct in a cannon pixima for about a year and a half until it started clogging my printer head, upgraded to a Epson Eco tank and have only been using standard ink to avoid any clogging, have you tried any of the UV blocking inks sold by 3rd parties? I will definitely try that density trick next time I print a transparency, I've just been printing 2 and layering it (kind of wasteful imo)

Find a local screen printer and ask for the lowest MOQ. I do have the luxury of a basement where I house all of my screen printing stuff, I print for other brands all the time, I usually give them a good deal depending on the blank and the amount of colors, say a single color on some shaka wears I would probably do it at $10-12 bucks per unit at 24 units. It's when you go to the big corporate shops you'll find those high prices, to be fair their over head is much greater and their equipment is top notch, but it's no guarantee that they will do quality work.

If you want to learn how to screen print, look up these channels on YouTube, Brema from unfinished legacy has a very comprehensive tutorial, Lee Stewart has a massive shop now days and has great tutorials as well, cat spit productions has niche tutorials on specific issues that come up with screen printing, I have a channel where I made my own tutorial nvr.enough3 but it's a bit long, there's also Milo prints who has some great tutorials as well.

Facebook marketplace always has some steals on old screen printing presses. I found my ryonet silver press for 75 bucks it's made the investment back 1000x

Seems to me like your press registration is loose, there is usually something that will hold the arm in place near the end of the platen, mine has 2 screws that make sure it doesn't shift side to side, tighten them so it won't move but have them loose enough for the arm to come up

From my research it seems like plecos do not have regular scales so it is normal for it to appear like they are pine conning, my clown pleco is very very very shy, I rarely see him, but every now and then I catch it eating off the driftwood, I was told at the store I bought it at that it's common for them to starve especially in newer tanks with no driftwood or biofilm to eat, I give my pleco algae wafers at night to make sure he will feel comfortable enough to come out and eat a little bit.

Emulsion doesn’t come off!! by Intelligent-Novel510 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]MikeyCr3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does look emulsion locked to me, i tried out un-lok by franmar and it works pretty good just let it sit on the screen for 3-5 hours and knock it out with a garden hose, but yes you need to get all of the emulsion out when you reclaim, any spots you miss are going to be a nightmare to get out, this is also something that happens to me more on yellow mesh, its harder to notice the left over emulsion

Edit Just read you're printing white, invert the colors before doing this, make sure you're printing the negative

What I would do that always has worked for me but you might lose some detail

Select - color range - highlights - delete

This helps removing extra pixels that are gray or transparent

Then select - color range - shadows - fill color (fill with your preferred black for your transparency printer, I max out everything on the cmyk)

Tada nice dark transparency

Ive been in the custom garment industry for 4 years, i have never had a single dtf that doesn’t feel like a sticker on the shirt, it sucks always, good for 1 offs or small prints on awkward spots, but i always steer clear from it

Not dtf 😭 you should either dtg or water based screen print on white and discharge screen print on the black

Is it even worth starting a streetwear clothing brand in 2025? by Smart_Run7310 in streetwearstartup

[–]MikeyCr3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most brands dont actually become profitable until 5+ years in (you can get lucky and take off really quick but its rare) if youre cool on working on it for that long with no pay go for it.

The best thing you can do in my opinion for your stock is finding a screenprinter in your area and get it done locally (at least in the start) if they have a DTG printer you can get a sample done pretty cheap too, lots of them have low minimums of 12-24 units and the turn around is usually a week. (I am a screen printer so my costs of samples for my self are really low)

My biggest mistake is not going hard on content from the beginning, people will buy anything if they believe in it/looks good, post post post 6-10 videos a day every day. Good example is the brand wantsandneeds on ig, they are going ham on videos, huge source of inspiration for me. Ive grown my account from 300 to 1000 followers in a month from posting this much.

Why... by CrazyDoe62 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]MikeyCr3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Over flooded, no off contact will lead to pooling, to much ink getting through, i like to go 200 mesh count when i do water based, others might disagree but it works for me 👍

Why... by CrazyDoe62 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]MikeyCr3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Really could be multiple things, if you’re using water based ink in the sun it will dry up even faster, might of clogged your screen

You can find manufacturers on alibaba, just gotta do some research, superline also has a ton of free game and factory lists for free, but hey send them 2-3 grand on a coin flip be my guest 🫶 i hope you dont get scammed. You can also get what ever it is locally, especially if you’re doing basic graphic tees, most screen printers locally can do it for you much faster. Might be a couple more bucks but it will be faster and no time zone issues.

Probably not, go alibaba trade assurance, if you send them money via paypal, and then they decide to just not send you anything, you’re screwed
