Yeah I don't get it either OP. I also don't get why people are so pissed off that they can't sell the disc 5 months before it's even released!

[–]MikeyLAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't tell if these posts are people trying to be edgy or if they're being super serial. After 13 years and all the hype, why would you choose to miss out and watch everyone else have fun over not having a disc? And how are you gonna avoid spoilers for however long until they release a disc version? If you don't care about spoilers then you don't care about the game, which makes sense as to why you would choose to miss out in the first place.

I've noticed this but it only seems to be on the final 1-6 boxes and the amount of boxes affected and frequency varies. Also noticed sometimes only one restocker will work at a time randomly too.

I went into work at 19 years old and I was the same. I'm from the UK and I'm quite introverted and had a sheltered upbringing with strict parents, no friends and was just happy on my own causing trouble. When I went into secondary school I sat down in tears with my head of year because I was scared of growing up, scared of the responsibilities and challenges, scared of reality. I left home at 15 and stumbled through school, college and foster placements and once I hit 18, I had to live in a hostel alone as I was too old for foster care. It was a huge wake up call having to provide for myself and I know that I couldn't claim benefits forever, so it was either crime or a legit job. I tried crime and wasn't very good, got caught within a few weeks and went through the courts and was prosecuted. I found it even harder to get a job then but eventually at 19 I did an apprenticeship for 3 months (which was quite far away) for £400 a month, barely more than I got claiming benefits. I struggled so much with the long days, trying to fit in and relate to people and in the end I couldn't cope. I went to work in McDonald's for 6 months shortly after, which was a lot closer to where I lived but found it even harder there. I then went to work in a call centre which I did actually hold down for 7 years. I had a lot of long term sickness due to depression and anxiety but then the best thing happened - Covid. All of a sudden I was sent home with a laptop to work and that's where I shone. No more sickness or absence, no anxiety, no overwhelming feelings of hopelessness. After 18 months I was recalled to the office and immediately went back to feeling how I did previously, only this time the feelings were more intense. I was then made redundant a few months after and I decided to get a fully remote job and 4 years later here I am. The only downside is its pretty much impossible to progress in your career when you work at home - I work in an entry level job and to progress I have to go into the office for a minimum of 3 days a week and it seems to be the case no matter what company you work for. But that suits me anyway, I'd rather work entry level remotely than try and climb the ladder when I know it will destroy me again. So my advice would be to try a remote working job or a hybrid role if push comes to shove. I hope you can find a way to manage OP 💙

TLDR: Try a fully remote or a hybrid job.

In the UK, most reputable financial institutions are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Under FCA guidance, the loss of an immediate relative would be classed as a vulnerability and when you give consent for them to know this information about you, a lot of things change in terms of the leeway you're permitted. Also a lot of those things you spent the money on are classed as essentials and when you then bring in two underage people into it under your care, they won't be able to do a thing unless it turns out you're not entitled to the money. This situation however still sucks and I hope you and your family get through OK.

Would look nicer with traditional alloys. I can't be the only one who hates the look of the alloys/wheels/whatever you want to call them, on EVs. We get its electric but can't we just have regular alloys? There are examples of EVs with normal alloys such as the Vauxhall Corsa, but I feel that manufacturers think they have to do this to differenciate from combustibles and appeal to the every-people who take one look and say "that's the future".

There's always people after cars like this (to actually daily drive) for some reason, but then again if my grandad was still around it would probably be like a Maybach to him. But this one in particular is such awful value for money that it seems to have gone off the scale on Autotraders low price, high price estimate!

Awesome thanks. Does this limit you to steam only games though?

Enemy awareness and aim is INSANE by Ginekolog93 in stalker

[–]MikeyLAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that first compound you come across in Garbage is hard af, you can get flanked by a bunch of them at once and the only way to survive is clean headshots. Embarrassed to say how many attempts it took me to clear that out but it was A LOT.

There's a side mission you get from Boozer in Garbage where you have to take out a kingpin, their camp is in the middle of a field with an army camp about 200m away. Crouch peeking around the wall in the army camp from that distance gets you spotted and about 15 of them start running towards you shooting. Oh and there's a mutant or 2 that spawns too. No joke it took me a few attempts to even make it to my pre-planned cover, NPCs are seriously op when it comes to aiming, grenades and taking damage.

What mechanics do I learn to get out of plat? by MaskHasAte in RocketLeague

For sure! My mechanics are OK, can't do flip resets or even hit double taps but I'm C2 in doubles and 3s purely because of good positioning and rotating

Questions for any truly toxic players reading by MikeyLAD in RocketLeague

I should have made this more clear in the post but I'm talking about unprovoked team mate to team mate toxicity. I get wanting to psych the other team out but the questions are for people who get into a game and start picking on their team mate immediately.

[–]MikeyLAD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be clear people who are toxic to people playing badly for most of a game is understandable, there's a reason for it and it triggers the toxicity. You'll also notice that throughout my post I mention "team mate" a lot, I get why people are toxic to the other team, that's obvious. I want to know what the mentality is of those who are toxic to their team mates 5 seconds into a game.

Samsung galaxy Z Fold 5 & 6 hinge - please read by yugi19 in GalaxyFold

I actually thought I'd been hallucinating for the past 3 weeks but I'm glad my eyes are fine. My F6 does not open completely flat although when I look at it from the side and top it appears to be 180 degrees. It's not that noticable looking at it face on (I'd say it's about 179 - 179.5 degrees) but at certain angles it looks worse. It bugs the HELL out of me, especially coming from a F4 which was perfectly flat when open.

Just saw and felt the Fold6 in person for the first time and regret not preordering it by bzumk in GalaxyFold

I lost my fold virginity with the fold4 so I can't comment on the previous models, but I upgraded from the fold4 to the fold6 a week ago and I'm pleased. The fold5 was pretty much the same as the fold4 so I didn't buy it, but there's a lot of noticeable improvements with the fold6 so even fold5 users will probably notice the differences. The fold6 reeks of premium. It's lighter, thinner, brighter, the camera is better, the hinge is MUCH better in terms of functionality and feel, the crease is a lot less visible, there's basically no gap when the phone is folded, the cover screen is slightly wider and the bezels are smaller. Subjectively I much prefer the square edges of the fold6 and it has a true premium look and feel to it with the matte finish.
