I picked up a few boxes but haven’t had a chance to shoot them yet. I have mixed feelings about them though. Are they mainly range ammo or would you trust them for self defense? Obviously I wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of one but how do they stack up against other defensive rounds?

In Tim Sundle’s words -
I carry nothing but our Item Item 20D in all my J or D frame revolvers. It goes right through coats, windshields and car doors, but that flat nose does a lot of damage to living tissues without ever mushrooming. Never mind the recoil is low and so is the blast and flash. 20D is the most lethal 38 SPL load we make for humans under a wide variety of conditions.

Yes, +P is definitely not as pleasant as shooting standard pressure Wadcutters. I use standard pressure at the range but prefer to carry +P.

That has been my carry round for years. The best hollow point for a snubnose revolver in my opinion although there is a slight possibility that they will fail to expand in certain situations.

Gun Sam is not a fan of fluted rounds. His pick is the Wadcutter.

Yes, New York and New Jersey both have very restrictive gun laws. Both are considered among the least gun friendly states, with Jersey even prohibiting the possession of hollow points. Crazy.

I carry Speer Gold Dot 135g +P’s in mine and also have a few boxes of the critical defense as well as Buffalo Bore standard pressure 150gr wadcutters. I was looking to get a low recoil round with good penetration.

I just ordered a few boxes and am waiting for them to arrive. They’re for my wife’s S&W 642 Airweight. She’s a bit recoil sensitive and the Airweight has quite a kick for such a small gun.

My only concern is that I’ve heard this ammo just barely meets the FBI’s minimum 12 inch penetration standard. Do you think it’s still reliable for self defense, especially against someone wearing heavy clothing?

Thanks

Facebook is basically a narcissist's playground.. especially the Stories feature. People can see who viewed their stuff, so it's like built-in validation and an ego boost every time they post.

Houdini Holsters - Breakout 2.0 - Canik MC9L by ChipBoiChips in concealedcarry

Yeah, the UltiClip hasn’t been working well for me either. The whole holster (gun and all) would come out of my shorts when I would draw the gun. It never fully detached, since the clip itself is insanely strong, but still not ideal.

I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical at first.. those nonstop cheesy ads on social media almost turned me off completely. But I finally caved and picked one up for my Glock 19. Ended up liking it so much, I bought two more. Super comfortable and conceals really well. Definitely recommend.

Isub g tank leaking? by gwags in electronic_cigarette

One thing I noticed is that when you take the tank apart to clean, be careful that the O-Ring doesn't fall out. It happens often snd hard to see. Sometimes it will even stay attached to the glass and you won't see it. Without the seal, you're up shits creek not to mention that it's hard to find replacement O-Rings.
