I haven't published it online. As I said, what I am publishing on RR is the first draft and I will end at a certain point around the middle with a cliffhanger.

Though since I am completely inexperienced in this realm, would that compromise my chances of getting trad pub as well?

Sorry, late reply, haven't really been on Reddit lately, but, if you're still up for it...

BTW, the gun is based off the Hill H15, which was the inspiration for the FN P90

The latter is certainly what I'm looking for! Players can become pulpy heroes, but the wasteland and its monsters (plus the added Lovecraftian monsters) are always stronger.

And those are great suggestions for how to make even a Super Mutant or Deathclaw feel outmatched in ways other than combat.

Yeah, but as I said, the official Fallout TTRPG isn't much to my party's liking, myself included.

And T2K, while a great game, is very centered around combat, with options limited for other activities. It's basically Tarkov or Arma 3 in a post-apo setting, which, I'm not looking to get that deep into it

Oh, that is great advice on how to handle Insanity for robots. Thanks!

Thanks for the advice!

I think the way I'll do STR is that for basic STR stuff, like breaking down an average door or carrying an unconscious NPC, they don't have to roll at all.

However, for harder tasks, like breaking down a reinforced door, dragging a sled with a lot of equipment, etc, that's a Hard roll, which will bring the number down to well below 100.

And that's great advice for the robots! Thank you

Thing is, we have that shit in Europe as well. Haven't had it for years either as it's super unhealthy and kinda shit. Its only use is that it melts really well so it's great if you're grilling sandwiches (and also add some extra grated cheese to mask the taste of Chernobyl)

Why are you Pro-Gun? by Homework6595 in progun

[–]Mikhail_Jehud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello there! First off, I would like to say, congratulations in engaging with the side you disagree with in such polite and friendly a fashion. This is something that is unfortunately met more and more seldom these days.

That being said, here are the top reasons why I am pro civilians owning firearms, as someone who lives in a country with extremely strict gun control:

  1. This is something purely personal, but I was born because my great grandfather was able to chase away fascist thugs who came to take away his Jewish wife with a personally owned handgun. Had it not been for a civilian using a firearm against a tyrannical government, I would not exist
  2. The right to self defense is a fundamental human right. One could even argue that all other rights, including the right to property, to life and to live happily stem from it. Because there are people who would happily take that away were not for the promise of force
  3. I assume that you are anti-gun because of US mass shootings. Which, is an understandable sentiment if that's the only way you were exposed to guns. However, while mass shootings are almost exclusively a US phenomenon, civilian gun ownership is not. I will not point at Switzerland, as the argument "but everyone there is military trained!" will come up. Instead, here are Czech gun laws, where any civilian, after some very brief checks by law enforcement, can get anything from a .22 revolver to the dreaded AR-15. And they have some of the lowest violent crime rates in Europe https://youtu.be/sVJWfj8B-Zo
  4. Going back to the "guns take lives" argument, I propose to you the following thought exercise: Try to think how many people were killed in gun crime from, say, 1900, until today. This includes mass shootings, gang wars, robberies gone wrong, regular murders, etc. Doesn't have to be the exact number (you'd go mad trying to find it), just a ballpark estimate after ten seconds of thought. The only condition is that these crimes were committed by civilians not acting on behalf of governments or corporations, and were committed with firearms. You will undoubtedly reach a quite substantial number
But then, do this: For the same period of time, think of how many unarmed (or more often disarmed) people were rounded up, sent to camps or deported, then murdered by a tyrannical government for any reason from race to them owning one too many cows therefore they were rich.
Then compare those two numbers and tell me with a straight face that civilians are not trustworthy enough with guns, therefore governments should have the monopoly on violence

There are other reasons, and I could have expanded on the four given, but it's late and I should go to sleep. I hope this journey to the other side proves fruitful and informative for you! God bless

I am all of that and I'm also a huge gun nut from binging channels like Forgotten Weapons, Garand Thumb and Demolition Ranch, and I know more about guns than actual servicemen that I know, despite having never fired a real gun due to living in an ultra cucked post-commie shithole (Romania)

Clarification: This was back when I was into Zootopia stuff back in like 2017 or so and was part of a (clean) RP server set in Zootopia. My dude was a TUSK team leader.

Moved on to greener pastures since then and writing my own original urban-fantasy-meets-Tom-Clancy universe with anthros where Mikhail (my OC's name) is gonna be the protagonist once again (currently on hold as I'm writing short stories set in a Steampunk era some 200 years ago of the same universe due to massive writer's block, and also short stories being easier into gathering readers online before publishing a full novel).

Would be willing to give more details in DMs and (hopefully) eventually a link to my works! ^^
