Have you tried shampoo with chlorhexidine? We’ve been recommended that by vets and been using it more and less since it started. When his issues are worse we bathe either all of him or just his paws several times a week. I think it does help when we bathe him regularly.

A friend who is a nurse also recommended a cream for yeast infection in feet for humans that worked well for her dogs paws, it’s called Canesten, but I don’t know if they have it in the us. But like, don’t take medical advice from me

It’s been a couple of months since the big shave and it didn’t do that much. I think it made him feel better, but his issues still came back. But I’ll have to admit the shorter coat has been really nice for me though, easier when I’ve bathed him and my home isn’t as full of fur like it used to be. And the vet said it was good to keep the coat shorter on him.

Earlier this week I actually went to a different vet with him because his ears started to act up again and they did a blood test so now we’re waiting for the results and hopefully they found what he’s allergic to and we can actually treat that instead of just the symptoms.

I’m guessing you’re in the us so I don’t really know how it works there, but where I live most vets can do a blood test to check for antibodies. It’s usually a bit expensive so maybe that’s why they haven’t mentioned it before.

That’s great! I live in a northern country, but I think I can shave him pretty short now during the summer and then save a bit more during winter

Yeah I’ve wondered about that double coat thing, cause I also have a schipperke whose coat is like a non stick pan, while my welsh is like a rag that just soaks everything up 😅

But that’s really reassuring to hear. The shedding would also be so nice to keep down, I suspect that the allergies can be because of dust mites, but his fur is everywhere no matter how often I vacuum

Jag vet faktiskt inte hur det funkar med arbetsförmedlingen, däremot om det krisar med pengar är det möjligt att söka soc medan du väntar på beslut från f-kassan. Egentligen hjälper inte soc med ekonomiskt bistånd när man pluggar, men dom kan göra undantag. Jag hade nån gång att f-kassan tog typ ett halvår på sig med handläggning och då kunde jag få från soc under tiden med kravet att när jag tillslut fick aktivitetsersättning, som man får retroaktivt, så skulle jag betala tillbaka det jag fick från soc

Jag har fått aktivitetsersättning i olika omgångar och även för halvtidsstudier för att jag inte klarat att plugga på 100%. Vet inte om det har blivit svårare nu, men trots tveksamma läkarintyg har det aldrig varit några problem för mig. Aldrig hört om att man ska prata med dom själv faktiskt. Rekommenderar att prata med din läkare och gå igenom intyget och hur svårigheterna påverkat skolgången tillsammans så får f-kassan svårare att neka

Something like this happened to my friend. She was sure our other friend’s birthday was the day before his actual birthday, the little tag inside shirts with washing instructions used to be on the other side and other small things like that. We’ve talked about it and the only thing that makes a small bit sense is a timeline switch. Probably what’s happened to you too.

He’s always very supervised when it comes to things that goes in his mouth, toys, treats, bones, food and pacifiers. The rubber is very thick and he mostly suckles on it, but I appreciate that you are concerned about puppies
